what I pointed in my review was she is showing him where he is going ahead and making situation worst for all showing her pain in tears too. She has the haq ti stop him and he will stop for her no doubt. And family doesn't know how to control the man first with his raging emotions all the time. If she makes him calm and tone down his anger he will come down to normalcy. She is dealing situations in her peaceful way not shouting or thodphod. When one is raised other should calm them. This way it balances them as couple. There is no comparison for maa beti as situations are different for them. But way of dealing too differs.
I have not seen the previous seasons so no clue on Naira's characterization. But Akshu is stepping up because she knows if she doesn't, Abhi, with this temper issues, is going to creating more mess. She doesn't protect or voice her thoughts and feelings with elders or even her siblings but with Abhi, she does not just because of his in-your-face attitude but also because she is the girl of this generation. She sees herself as his equal. His partner. Doesn't matter if she is standing beside him, behind him or in front of him. He is the wild horse and she has taken his reins in her hand. He will give her the freedom and ability to race but she will control so that neither falls and gets injured.
