Why is Madhya Pradesh building museum for Lata Mangeshkar!! Shouldn't the Maharashtra government take the first step!! She is one of the greatest and talented Marathi lady to ever born in Maharashtra and is an inspiration to many!!

Oh so the place where she was born is in Madhya Pradesh!! Ok!! Correct me If I am wrong a sizeable Marathi population still lives in Madhya Pradesh since the time of Maratha Empire. Right?

हो, होळकर, शिंदे (sindiya) हे सगळे indore चेच आहेत.

स्वानंद किरकिरे..the famous lyricist is from indore only.

आपली बरीच लोक आहेत अजूनही तिकडे, पण ती लोक हिंदी बोलतात जास्त करून.

That is correct.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which state builds the museum as long as she and her songs and achievements are duly commemorated, IMO.
