Tinder swindler in Netflix
It is an engaging documentary film about Tinder scams . A must watch film about a conman , how he easily cheats people and how social media blames the victims .
gehraiyaan: I do feel DP and Siddhant did tried their to salvage in terms of acting even though there were a lot of inconsistencies in the storyline. Storyline was executed in mediocre manner but I feel DP and Siddhant tried their best.
I watched a couple of movies recently.
Pulp Fiction. For all the hype around it, the movie didn't click with me. I tried to like it, but I still don't know why it fell flat. Various movies in same (crime genre) have been amazing. But nothing about Pulp Fiction seemed exciting.
Stand By Me. It's a story about four friends who discover a dead body of a child has been found on the railway track, few miles down their town. As the children embark on their journey to see the dead, a lot happens to their 12 year old selves. It's a brilliant coming-of-age story with excellent acting from the child-actors. One of the best Stephen King adaptations.
The Normal Heart. The movie is one of the most moving stories I've ever seen. It's about the advent of the HIV-AIDS in the 1980s, initially found in the homosexual people. The movie captures the politics, the tragedy, fears, and confusions of the gay people beautifully.
I liked the first half.
But the climax felt like 'kuch bhi'. 😆
Vikrant definitely acted very well.
Am not Bengali but have been watching old Satyajit Ray movies and have fallen in love with Soumitra Chatterjee.
Have watched Abhijaan, Charulata and Sonar Kella and like them all.
Abhijaan- the egoistic, Rajput North Indian taxi driver who's a bit of a contradictory mess with an ego driven by his caste yet he falls for a lower caste lady.
Charulata - the neglected, bored housewife falling for her devar- the actress was the scene stealer here.
Sonar Kella- the suave , urbane detective and the childish but interesting story.
Wish more movies were made on works of literature instead of the drivel that Bollywood passes off as stories.
I would watch more but there is a lack of subtitled movies.
Loop Lapeta
It was a fun time-pass movie. The concept is innovative. But I felt the reason and resolution of the time loop were half-baked. I haven't seen Run Lola Run, so I don't know if it is true for the original as well.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui
It was better than I expected. There was a sincere attempt to portray the story sensitively. Some parts were predictable or too easily resolved.
Vaani acted well. But Ayushman seems to have gotten redundant.
I saw
spiderman no way home - liked having 3 spidermen. ending could have been better seemed like a bollywood movie
tenet - great action and some nice scenes
encanto - good family movie and songs. I liked diversity and inclusion but the film is not pathbreaking otherwise
Love in Aruba - concept is nothing out of the blue as its some businessman who's hired a tutor for his daughter only to end up falling for that same tutor...there is chemistry visible between the leads & the visuals of aruba are aesthetically appealing...good movie for timepass
