Chapter 7

"Akshu! Sambal ke!" Mimi yelled watching her jump around dancing.

"Ek toh mujhe aaj tak samajh nahi aya ke theek se yeh chal nahi sakti magar nachne mein sab se aage hai!" Bhabi Maa sighed.

"Naira ki beti jo hai." Gayu reminded her.

Akshu happily danced with Neil and Vatsal to Saami Saami when she caught Abhimanyu sitting on a chair by himself while everyone else danced around him.

"Neiliyeee.....tera bhai kuch ziyada kanjoos nahi?"

"Matlab kya hai? Bro bilkul kanjoos nahi." Neil said angrily.

"Nahi....yahan dance karne ke paise toh nahi lagte! Aisa lag raha hai koi Benefits of Meethi Dana ki koi documentary dekh raha ho....shakal bhi aisi banayi hai ke mooh mein meethi dana ho." said Akshu as Vatsal started to laugh.

"Acha beta, tum jao aur Abhi ko bolo dance karne ke liye." Mahima said from behind Akshu. Akshu turned around in shock.

"Nahin mera woh matlab nahi tha..." Akshu said turning red.

"Nahin tum theek keh rahi ho. Muskurane mein bohat kanjoos hai. Jao. Make him dance." Mahima nudged her.

"Okay.....errr...." Akshu walked to Abhimanyu. Akshu tu kabhi toh apna mooh bandh kar.

Mahima went to Manjiri and they watched to see what Abhimanyu will do.

"Didi, kahi gussa na karey!" Manjiri said anxiously.

"Baad mein Akshu ko e handle karna hai na Abhi ko...kuch nahi hoga."

Abhimanyu saw Akshu come toward him. "Hogaya? Tired?"

"Kaun main? Abhi toh party shuru hui hai....!" Akshu grinned at him.

"Toh phir?"

"Kya hai na...you are standing by yourself all alone. Chalo, join us."

"I don't dance....So you go, enjoy yourself. I'll just watch you."

"Kyun? Main koi roadside bandariya hoon jo main dance karongi aur aap sirf dekhoge?"

"A roadside WHAT?" Abhimanyu started to laugh. What is this girl???

"Chalo! Bas aajao please." Akshu took his arm and dragged him to the dance floor.

"Akshara, I really don't know how to dance."

"Toh yahan koi bhi Dance India Dance ke auditions pe nahi aaya hai. Look at that kamina Vatsal. He's dancing like if there are ants in his pants. Just do what I'm doing! Loosen up and shake your boot...I mean shake your body."

"Fine." Abhi tried to copy Akshu's moves.

Harsh watched from far in shock. He walked up to Mahima and Manjiri who were both stunned as well. "Is my mind playing games or is that really Abhimanyu dancing...or trying to dance?"

"Mujhe toh yakeen nahi ho raha!" Manjiri laughed.

"Haan main samjhi Abhi mana karega Akshu ko toh...but he's even smiling. He looks like he's having fun." Mahima pointed at him.

"Dekha! Maine kaha tha...Akshu se achi ladki Abhi ko mil e nahi sakti." Harsh said happily.

After 30 minutes, Abhi went to sit down. This Akshara was crazy. He couldn't believe she made him dance. He was tired now and sat to drink some water and watched as Akshu continued to jump around and dance. Roadside Bandariya. You really are something else. Abhi laughed to himself.

After a few minutes, he saw Akshu walk towards him. Oh no not again.

Akshu stopped in front of him and smiled. "Maine tumko dekha toh pehli nazar mein jan liye..." she started to sing. "Hai mera mehboob tuhi maine tujhe pechaaaaannn liyaaaaa...."

"What??" Abhi asked confused.

"Excuse me." She sat on the floor and pulled a pair of sneakers from under his seat. "Khawabon aur khayalon ki duniya mein tujhko doondhaaaa...." She continued to sing to her sneakers.

She was singing to her shoes? Abhi watched her in amazement. Akshu took off her heels and put her sneakers on and pointed her hand towards Abhi.

"Help, please." Abhi took her hand and pulled her up. "Yeh heels mujhse nahi hote.....anyways back to dancing."

Aaru went up to Badi Mumma and Mimi and folded her arms.

"Kya hua, beta?" Badi Mumma asked her.

"Aap log kuch chupa rahe hain mujhse."

"Hum kya chupayenge?" Mimi asked.

"Meri behn jo hai, most of the time, uske brain cells Maldives mein holiday ke liye chale jahte hain magar main apney brain cells ko hamesha apney saath rakh thi hoon."

"Matlab kya, Aaru?"

"I been observing you guys. Making Akshu take Abhimanyu shopping, then making Abhimanyu pick her outfit and today? Constantly making them stand together or dance together? Kya ho raha hai?"

"I always knew you are too smart for your own good...Manjiri aunty aur Harsh uncle Akshu ka rishta laye hain Abhimanyu ke liye." Badi Mumma whispered to her.

"Oooooohhhhh!"

"Akshu ko toh koi shaq nahi hua na? We want to talk to her when time is right."

"Badi Mumma. Akshu ko probably lag raha hai you guys want her to teach Abhimanyu how to dance." Aaru rolled her eyes.

"Tu kuch mat batana phir." Mimi warned her.

"My lips are sealed.....but Badi Mumma, Mimi. Kya Abhimanyu hamari Akshu ke liye theek hai? Hamari Akshu....alag hai. Bohat masoom aur todhi si pagal. Abhimanyu is so serious and like Akshu says, a little khadoos." Aaru said worried.

"Pata hai tumhe Akshu se bohat pyar hai. Hume bhi hai. Pehle hume bhi laga shayad yeh theek nahi hai magar shayad Akshu ko Abhimanyu ke jaisa koi chaiye jo uske pagalpan ko handle kar sake."

Aaru nodded and then started to softly cry.

"Kya hua, beta?" Mimi asked holding her hand.

"Kya hamari Akshu hume chod ke chali jayegi?" Aaru sobbed.

Just then, Akshu came running and almost tripped and bumped into Aaru who then bumped into Mimi.

"Akshu! Kitni baar kaha hai ke walk slowly!" Badi Mumma said.

"Sorry na! Bua says to come...time for exchanging rings." Akshu looked at Aaru. "Tujhe kya hua?"

"Kuch nahi....chal." Aaru said walking away.

"Aaru sun. Kya hua? Bata na."

"Main yeh soch rahi thi...abhi toh sirf Krish Bhaiya ki engagement ho rahi hai.....pata nahi tumhare number kab aayega! When will I get rid of you?" Aaru sighed.

"Ha! Kabhi nahi....Kyunki tuuuuu dhadkan main dillllll!" Akshu hugged Aaru. Aaru hugged her back. I wish I can always keep you with me, Akshu and protect you but maybe now it is time to hand you to your khadoos hottie.

Is Abhi falling for this roadside bandariya? Will Aaru play cupid??

Also before anyone asks: in this story, Sirat doesn't exist. Kairav, Akshu and Aaru are all Naira and Karthik's kids.
