I came to know when he entered politics. It amazes me how some people change their profession 2-3 times in a lifetime.

I wish a huge museum is built in Lata's memory dedicated to music, not just her songs but Indian music as a whole. Statues just serve as bird perches but a museum with digitized records of works of stalwarts, their books, their pictures, the knowledge of centuries all in one place would be a fitting tribute to this amsha of Saraswati. I hope Modi announces such a project in her memory and its as grand & awe inspiring as her life's work

Elvis was nowhere close to Lataji and there are many of his museums...Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee being the most visited. The length and breadth of Lataji's work is unparalleled and a museum in her honor would help the future generations too.

I second this. There is no point in building only statues, I am not against statues, they are good but a museum is far better. If any of you are on twitter please tweet this thought/idea to the Indian government.
