When I listen to analysts like Tarek Fatah, who have lived thru independence, all the wars, to present day and who talk about the real history of the subcontinent, I wonder how we've survived so many atrocities.

BJP government's done a lot for the people. Now they are genuinely going Digital with documents, certificates, papers, even passports...socho kitna bribe officers ke paas nahi jayega coz you will have your own copies. Also our vaccination drive has been insane, especially given our population.

I have been out till 1 Am in Navratri with girl friends. My cousin and others still go out without worrying much. I can say it’s pretty safe.

I was in college when there was a talk to remove alcohol ban. You know who protested the most? NIFT girls. Most were from outside of Gujarat. They said they felt safer in Gujarat than in their own states. And one of the reason is no alcohol consumption in open. Back mein to hota hai par not in open.

History and the partition stories are horrible. I am shocked to learn about so many prominent personalities later now after reading stuff. I wonder why they weren’t included in the history.

About passports, my brother said everybody around him is getting passport in 24 hours. Doorstep delivery.

Have you read about BJP’s jal jeevan yojna? So many lacs of houses are getting tap water. have you seen people discussing that here? 😆 Doesn’t fit the agenda. And if you do, you will be called all sorts of names.

I seriously doubt it was only Pakistani trolls (some of them used the opportunity but that's it) especially since there have been plenty of hate campaigns done by bhakts over the years including this recent one against SRK.

Blaming it all on Pakistani trolls like you and the other user are doing is the cheap and easy way out. But again I'm not surprised.

I am aware of under the table for alcohol in Gujarat...other than that, I think the state has done so well for itself. Until Modiji became the PM, I did not realise how many cities in Gujarat were developed with great infrastructure. Cut to Maharashtra where Mumbai is overpopulated and totally gone, and one more city is Pune. That's all.

Aap independence ka chodho, our textbooks used to say we were uncivilised fools and the British and Mughals "saved" us. The looters were our supposed saviours. I am not against any religion here, but how can the bad guys be depicted otherwise?

Oh many cities are super nice to live in. Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Himmatnagar, Gandhinagar (it’s a capital), Rajkot, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, etc.

When Modi took over as CM, entire Kutch district was in shambles after 2001 earthquake. You should see that now. So nicely developed. It’s amazing.

One more story I keep telling always. Coz I grew up in Gandhinagar so all the politics was right in my porch. Gujarat vidhansabha used to have tea tapris and pakoda stalls right outside of it.
Govt employees would come at 10 am, have Tea, work for an hour, go home for lunch, take a nap, come back at 3, again have tea, and go back home. My dad literally had gone to tea tapris to talk to govt employee. 😆
After Modi took over, all these stalls gone.
My friend’s Bua used to take all sabjis to her office to cut them. 🤣
Before 2nd term election, one of my classmate told me her family is not voting for Modi. She said my Dad can’t come home for lunch and can’t even take a nap. Modi has made everything strict. 🤣 I swear on my kids, this is a true story.

First I want to visit Kutch. I always get less time to go for a trip when I come to India. Kisi na kisi ki shadi mein busy ho jate hai. Which I very much enjoy so no complain but I do wish to go on a trip next time.
