Okay since Zindagi wala is done and I’m still thinking about Jalebi…here is a new one. I already know the story to this….
Chapter One
Akshu sat at their usual table facing the entrence of the cafeteria, waiting. As usual he was late. She asked the waiter, Sunil to bring a few samosas and a coke. Why not eat until then? After about 45 minutes, she finally saw him coming. He saw her and came to sit on the chair across from her.
“Tum sach mein Doctors ki family se ho? Time matter nahi karta tumhare liye?” Akshu rolled her eyes at him.
“Yaar, ab tum shuru mat hojana. Mood waise bhi karab hai.” He put his head down on the table.
Akshu finished her last samosa and called out to Sunil. “Bhaiya, teen aur samose, ek coke aur ek pizza la do.” She turned to her friend. “Tume kuch chaiye?”
He looked up and shot her an angry look. “Yahan main itna pareshan hoon aur tume iss waqt kahne ki padi hai?”
“Haan toh mere na kahne se tumhari pareshani kam toh nahi hogi na? Tum chaiye kuch ke nahi?”
“Bhaiya mere liye bas ek coke aur ek pizza.”
Sunil took the order and left. Akshu turned to her friend. “Acha Dev Anand mat bano. Batao kya hua hai.” Her friend sighed. “Neil, footage mat ka. Batana hai toh batao warna mujhe kya.”
“Okay fine. Pooja fought with me again.” Neil said.
“Acha toh ab bata tu pareshan kyun hai?”
“Tumne suna nahi? I said Pooja fought with me.” Neil said angrily.
“Yeh toh roz ki baat hai….you should be used to it by now. Meri suno. Forget about this Pooja, doondho koi duja.”
“Akshu…uggghhh…forget it. Waise mujhe batao. Iss pure shehar mein tumhe sirf meri family ka hospital milta hai milne ke liye?”
“Kya hai na, Neil. Mujhe hospitals se bohat pyar hai. If I wasn’t so scared of needles, blood and doctors and if that hospital wali smell didn’t repulse me and if the sick patients didn’t depress me, I would have surely been a doctor.”
Neil stared at her. “Exactly how do you love hospitals then? Sab kuch toh tume nahi pasand….bacha kya pyar karne ke liye?”
“The cafeteria! That’s why I’m here.” Akshu sweetly smiled at him. “Aur waise bhi yahan ka bill mujhe dena nahi padhta toh added bonus.”
“Akshu you ordered enough food to feed a small army! Bhukard kahi ki. I’m not paying your bill today.”
“Tum ne kab se bill diya hai? Bill tumhare Papa dete hain na? Toh chup ho jao and look your pizza is here.”
Sunil brought all their food and they started to eat. “You know, between your mess with Pooja and Aaru’s mess with whoever it is she’s with now, I’m so put off with dating.”
“I’m telling you, Akshu. Find someone before Bade Papa and Badi Mumma arrange your marriage with someone.”
“Please mere turn aane se pehle, itni badi line hai. It will take at least 4-5 years before anyone thinks of me. Pehle toh Krish Bhaiya ki shaadi hogi, phir Vansh Bhaiya ki aur phir Kairav Bhaiya ki. Aur koi nahi toh I have full faith in that kamina Vatsal to take his sweet time…woh bhi mujhse bada hai na. I’m safe for now.”
“Dekh liyo. In no time, teri shaadi will be arranged. Phir kya karogi?” Neil warned her.
“Shaadi e toh karni hai. Jung mein toh nahi jana. Karloongi aur waise bhi Mimi kehti hai…real life koi ITV serial ya Bollywood movie nahi ke boy and girl will meet….they will look into each other’s eyes, violins will start playing and they will start day dreaming about dancing to Ishq Wala Love. Shaadi ke baad bhi pyar ho sakta hai.”
“Waise bhi tumhe date kaun karega?”
“Kyun? Mujhe mein karabi hai? Main kisi ko date nahi karongi unless it’s Siddharth Malhotra…aye agar woh kabhi iss hospital aye treatment ke liye toh mere number de dena.”
“Pehle apna mooh saf kar.” Neil shook his head. “There’s sauce all over over your mouth. Anyways tere hero se mujhe mere hero yaad aa gaye! I have some rocking news!”
“Kya?”
“My bro is coming back!” Neil grinned.
“Parth Bhaiya kahi gaye the kya?” Akshu asked confused.
“No duffer! Mere Abhimanyu Bhai!”
“Oooh that hottie! Aye!” Akshu sighed. “Pata hai, tere Abhimanyu Bro mere sab se pehle crush the. Kya sexy admi tha pehle woh.” She saw Neil throw her a dirty look. “Matlab ab abhi hoga. I won’t know. Main toh kafi saal se nahi mili.”
“Haan tumhare na Bro ke saath koi chance e nahi hai. You should see the girls he dates! His last GF was a model.”
“Is he still dating her?” Neil shook his date. “Toh bas. Waise bhi I told you I don’t believe in this dating. Toh chill. Mujhe koi pagal kutte ne nahi kata hai ke mein tumhare Bhai ke saath apni setting kara doon.”
“Okay let’s see if you still have that crush on him when you see him again.”
“‘Nahi hoga. Yaar ek aur pizza order kar doh.” Neil shook his head and went to order another pizza.
Waise Abhimanyu tha bohat hot. Let’s see how he is now.
