A few observations:

1. MC was not expecting PD to come on stage at that time (validated by the backstage video we have seen). He goes "Oho! Dono ek saath"

2. Mic for PD, cable for his guitar, etc. were not ready - we can see a lot of activity back and forth behind Arunita

3. Arunita introduced some additional crooning before the part where PD has to come in (what he did from backstage in the UK / CA tours) - probably to buy some time for his mic to work

4. Once they got going, both were in perfect harmony between themselves and with the music - even as stretching or emphasising the same syllables although they were walking in different directions and not looking t each other.

Actually, it is always premature to count Film songs till they are released. It takes a couple of seconds for a song sequence to be snipped off in final edit. All movies have extra songs recorded and it is up to the editor to include or exclude songs. Title tracks are safe bets, but even then they may be recorded with multiple singers.
The reality of a film song is the moment the film is released. It is counting chickens before hatching otherwise.

Yes, I understand. Songs getting re-recorded in the voice of a star singer is a common thing.

Even back in the days of Anuradha Paudwal it was common to hear songs on the radio in the voice of Alka Yagnik or Sadhana Sargam for a few days and then suddenly hear it being replaced by Anuradha Paudwal's voice 😊

Arijit Singh once commented in a Bengali TV interview / chat session that his list of unreleased songs will fill a suitcase. He said he had lost count, maybe in the 1,000's. And this was 7-8 years ago.
