honestly one of my fav memories is when my uncle told me "pankha khol" and I was just like pankha kholu?? Kaise?? And then my dad explained to me how that's what they call switching it on 😭

(Now though I'm not sure if it was a hyd thing or a our family thing 😆)

I have a friend over here from Hyd… they speak something similar… mix of Urdu n telugu ish I believe … is it the same language u guys are talking about?

It's called Dakhini Urdu, or more popularly, Hyderabadi. I don't think it's mixed with Telugu really, just a different Urdu.

There's a cult classic movie called the angrez. Must watch!
