Part 21:

Next day was a normal one for Ram and Priya. Both wished eachother a good day and went to their respective workplace.

When Ram entered his cabin and noticed his friends waiting for him

Ram: Hi guys

Vik: finally tu agaya

Everyone hugged him, he too hugged them happily.

Adi: you are looking so happy

Ram: I'm happy seeing you all

Kunal: par kuch chamak rahe hai tere face par.

Ram: kya

Ram touched his face and went to see the mirror.

Ram: I'm looking fine. Tum pagal ho

Everyone laughed at his statement as he took the literal meaning of it.

Ram: Adi I asked you to not come to office today

Adi: Today I have an meeting with Mr. Malhotra, uske baad I am free.

Ram: So what I will take care, you go now.

Adi: Everything is set Ram, from tomorrow I will take the break. Brindha had planned accordingly. So today I will attend.

Ram: okey, adi you take as much as holiday my Jaan wants. You keep her happy.

Adi: ok boss.

Ram looked at Kunal and vikrant who were smiling listening to their conversation.

Ram: Actually you know what, vik and Kunal tum dono bhi chutti Lena.

I will handle everything in office.

Vik: How will you handle everything alone? We will take a break once adi returned.

Ram: I'm not asking, I am ordering you. I can manage here. I want you guys to enjoy.

Kunal: Are you sure Ram?

Ram: I'm very sure.

Kunal: we will take the day off after adi's return. We can't leave you alone.

Ram: But you both need the relaxation now. So just do what I said.

Kunal and vik nodded their head in affirmation after lots of convincing.

Ram: Next time we will plan a get together.

Adi: Haan Ram. It will be nice to have a mini vacation with all.

Ram: we should ask bri and Priya to plan, they will take care of everything.

Kunal: you are right. Bri and Priya bhabhi will plan a perfect vacation.

Ram: okey then now you people go and plan for your trip while I do my work.

Adi: acha teek hai

Everyone one bid bye to Ram and moved out while Ram started working in his laptop.

The trio stood at the entrance of the Ram's cabin and saw him working with smile dancing in his lips.

Adi: we got our old Ram back

Kunal: Haan adi our Ram is finally back to us.

Vik: He looks so happy and fulfilled.

Adi: May God bless him with this happiness forever.

They thanked the god and moved away. Remaining day went without any hitch.

Ram and Priya both settled for their dinner in dining table with their family.Dinner with their family was actually better since shubu kept them engaging with his talks.

After finishing their dinner, Ram and Priya spend sometime with eachother in their balcony sharing about their day. Then both slept peacefully.

Next day both got busied themselves in their work.

At afternoon,

After ending the meeting in the conference hall,

Ram: adi meri liye

P.A: sir

His assistant's confused sir made him realise, his friends were not there. This is the fourth time he is using his friends name unknowingly. This is the first time he is being alone in office as atleast one of them from the trio will be with him always.Suddenly his hunger vanished into thin air. He didn't feel like eating.

Ram sighed and started walking towards his cabin with his assistant in tow as the latter was briefing about his next schedule.

Ram entered his cabin and got shocked seeing his wife sitting there.

He swiftly walked towards her uttering Priya and kissed the top of her head before she can get up from the chair.

Ram: what a pleasant surprise. When did you came? And how come no one informed me that you are her.

Priya kept alternating her glance between her husband and his assistant.

That's when Ram realised the presence of his assistant. Ram turned to his assistant

Ram: Reschedule the meeting with Mr.Bansal to tomorrow and make it a point to inform me about my wife's presence in this office immediately in future. I don't want you guys to keep her waiting.

P.A: yes sir

Ram: Thank you and don't allow anyone inside my cabin till I ask you to. You may go now.

Assistant nodded at his instruction and went out giving them the privacy.

Ram immediately hugged her burying his face into her tresses after switching ON all the window blinds of his cabin. Feeling her body little tense in his arms

Ram: kya hua biwi.

Priya: I didn't mean to disturb you.

Ram: who said you are disturbing me?

Priya: wohh

Ram: Don't think too much, Now tell me how come you are here.

Priya: I came to have lunch with you.

Ram: Really?

Priya: I thought you won't eat properly since adi, Kunal and vikrant are on leave .

Ram smiled at her concern as what she was saying is true. He removed his coat and placed it in his seat. Then went towards her and pecked her forehead before leading her to the couch.

Both shared their meal while conversing about randomly occasionally feeding eachother.

When Priya got ready to go after finishing lunch Ram called her

Ram: biwi Today I will come home little late as there is an important meeting. When will you get free?

Priya:okey. I will be free around 5pm.

Ram: okey then I will ask the driver to drop you home. I will try to finish it soon.

Priya: Mr. Kapoor Ma asked me to come home if I am free today.

Ram: Then I will ask the driver to drop in Meera ma's home. I will come and pick you up once the meeting gets over.

Priya: I will go in auto Mr. Kapoor. There is no need for a driver.

Ram: but Priya the car will be free at that time, I will ask the driver to drop you.

Priya: I insist Ram.

Ram smiled and nodded his head as he don't want Priya to do anything in compulsion and also he always loved the independent Priya little more.

Priya bid bye to Ram and was moving out when she noticed Ram following her.

Priya: where are you going?

Ram: I will come with you till the elevator.

Priya: Everyone will look at us and I don't want that attention on us. So you stay here. I will go.

Ram nodded his head understanding her state and hugged her once more. While she looked at Ram who looked little tired. She gently ran her fingers through his hair softly caressing it making him to relax under her soft touch. She placed a soft kiss on his eyelids and gently pecked his forehead for a fleeting second which made him to smile more. He snuggled more to her while she caressed his back. After sometime Ram half heartedly broke the hug and asked her to go. She nodded her head and was about move when Ram held her wrist which made her look at him questioningly.

Ram: Thanks for coming.

She hugged him in return as she know he is feeling low as he looked little lost without his friends.

Priya: They will be back soon. It's important for them to get the necessary break.

Ram looked at her astounded, as he was not able to pin point the reason for him to feel low but his wife pointed it out straight.

Priya: you love them and you are connected to them more than you are letting everyone know. I'm very happy that you have those gem of peoples in your life. They deserve all your love.

Ram just took her in a bone crushing hug while Priya kept caressing him.

Their moment was interrupted by the ring from the intercom.

Ram attended the call where his assistant informed him about the arrival of their clients. He asked her to take them to the conference room while he will be there in 5 minutes.

Ram came to priya after ending the call. Took her hand and entwined with his before placing a kiss in her knuckles.

Ram: call me once you reached home.

Priya: Have something healthy in the Evening and don't even try to eat junk food.

Ram nodded his head to her, Then went to get his coat. Priya helped him wearing it. Soon both walked out to do their respective work.

Ram called Priya at evening,

Ram: where are you Priya?

Priya: I'm just going to enter the home.

Ram: okey, now enjoy your evening.

Priya: Have some healthy food before going for another meeting.

Ram: yes boss, bye.

Priya:bye.

Priya ended the call with a smile, she turned to enter her home that's when she noticed her Sara di standing with a teasing smile. Priya moved forward and hugged her.

Priya: How are you?

Sara: I'm fine Priya and I can see that you are more than fine.

Priya: what happened to you? Why are you blabbering?

Priya pushed her aside and entered the home to see her mother working in the kitchen.

Priya: Maa

Meera ma: aaja meri bachi

Meera ma came forward and kissed her forehead before hugged her. Priya closed her eyes feeling her mother's warmth.

Meera ma: Ram nahi aya?

Priya: kuch meeting hai ma.

Shivi: bhabhi When did you came?

Shivi came and hugged Priya which Priya reciprocated happily.

Priya: just now

Shive : where is Bhai?

Priya: He will come later after finishing his meeting.

Shivi: still he is working till late.bhabhi you should stop him from doing so.

Priya smiled at her geniune concern for her Bhai.

Priya: you say that yourself to your Bhai when he comes.

Shivi: I will take him a class bhabhi. You don't worry.

Shivi went away when her mother-in-law called her.

Priya: akki Kahan hai?

Sara: In shoot.

Priya: acha teek hai. I will get freshen up and come.

Priya went towards her room while Meera and Sara kept looking at her.

Meera: Priya is looking happy

Sara: haan ma kuch alag khush hai uske chehre par.

Meera: She looks contented which is very new.

Sara: let this happiness be in her life forever ma.

Meera: Haan Sara you are right. May God bless her with her fair share of happiness.

Sara: I will get some snacks for her.

Meera: haan haan I will prepare tea for her.

Later Priya came and everyone started their chit chat.

In office, Ram got to ready to go for the meeting which is happening in a Hotel. While moving out he saw sandy and walked towards her.

Ram: Sandy what are you doing still?

Sandy: sir woh

Ram: Don't be over formal.you can call me jeeju sandy.

Sandy: thank you jeeju. Just now I finished the my work. Getting ready to go home.

Ram: I will drop you. Come with me.

Sandy: It's okey jeeju. I will go by auto.

Ram: Tum sisters sab ke sab same hai. I will drop you as I'm going in that way for a meeting. I will wait for you down come fast.

He went out without waiting for her reply. While sandy smiled and followed him.

Ram dropped sandy at her home

Sandy: jeeju come inside.

Ram: I'm getting late for the meeting sandy. Anyways I will come inside when I come to pick Priya.

Sandy: pri di is here?

Ram: Haan enjoy with your sister. I'm running Little late. See you soon.

Sandy: bye jeeju.

Sandy went upstairs bouncing in her steps at the same time shouting pri diiii.

Priya: Arey sandy why are you shouting?

Sandy: you didn't tell me you are coming here today.

Sara:Then how come you are coming shouting Priya's name?

Sandy: jeeju told me. Actually he dropped me now

Meera: why didn't he come inside?

Priya: He will be getting late for the meeting Ma.

Sandy: Exactly so he told me that he will come after finishing meeting.

Meera: We are lucky to have Ram as our son-in-law.

Sara and sandy: that's true ma.

Priya felt happy listening to her husband's praisings.

Soon sisters become busy with their chatting later joined by shivi, Meera ma and mami inbetween priya texted ram asking about his whereabouts.

Ram finished his meeting at the hotel and was going towards the elevator while texting in his phone, that's how he dashed into someone, he turned to apologise but stopped in shock seeing vedhika and Shashi together hand in hand.

Vedhika: Ram tum yaha

Ram: I'm so sorry vedika. Did you get hurt?

Vedhika smiled thinking it as a love for her while Ram was genuinely concerned for the other person.

Vedika: I'm fine Ram. What are you doing here?

Ram: I had a meeting here. Hello Shashi how are you? It's been a long time since we met.

Shashi: I'm fine Ram. How are you?

Ram : All good .

He said with a smile and complemented both looking stunning together which made vedhika little confused as Ram was all smiles seeing them which is new.

Vedhika: Ram why don't you join us for the dinner? It's been a long time since we friends had a chat.

Ram: I'd love to vedika but not today. I don't want to spoil your romantic dinner date.

He said with a teasing smile,which confused vedhika all the more.

Shashi: No formalities Ram. You can join us.

Vedhika: yes Ram, waise this is your favourite place when it's comes to food. Come on join us Ram

As if in cue, Priya called him as it was getting late. He smiled seeing her name in the screen. Ram turned to Shashi and vedhika.

Ram: surely but some other day shashi, It was nice meeting you both. Have a good time. Bye.

Shashi and vedhika nodded their head while Ram smiled at them and started walking towards the elevator bickering in his phone.

While vedhika heard a bit of his conversation

Ram: why are you scolding me now? I just told you I'm damn hungry. What did I do now biwi?

Vedhika felt odd seeing his actions as she felt he was behaving differently. Ram never says no to her or to food. Then why did he outright refused to eat with them when he is hungry.

she thought he was speaking to brindha as she didn't hear the last word properly as Ram got into elevator so she thought it as bri instead of biwi.

While Ram was getting scolded by his wife for his carelessness towards his health as he texted her before dashing into vedhika that he is hungry and hadn't not eaten anything after lunch and asked Priya to keep his dinner ready.

Ram smiled looking at his phone after ending the call, he had apologized to his wife since she specifically asked him have something in the evening but today he had been totally busy since he have to handle everything.

He looked out of the window, still in thoughts about how he didn't feel anything on seeing vedhika with shashi. Infact for the first, he felt happy seeing them together. He was genuinely surprised seeing vedhika as he forgot about her completely. His wife had occupied all his heart and her love had filled all the vacuum in his life. Their love had truly made him free from the past shackles.

He opened the gallery in his phone and started looking at their photos. He slightly caressed her face in every photo with a smile in his lips. He smiled more looking at their first selfie that they took at the beach on a early morning. That picture will always be close to his heart. He smiled and saved it as his phone wallpaper after kissing her face in the photo..

His Priya.. His everything..❣️
