Yes, it's historic that no new films have been released after it hit OTT or for a month so it's had time to run. Otherwise it would have lost most it's theaters weeks ago.

Even if you take that into account, and take away the business after new releases were cancelled, it has done extraordinarily well.

Well it got lucky with the no released thing …but it also got disadvantaged/ had overcome obstacles

The reason why nothing released coz ppl didn’t expect gr8 theatrical numbers given restrictions…

But

Every other film that released with it fizzled out (except Spider-Man)

It’s recording numbers in theatres post an ott release

There were no promotions done in the north sector for this movie and it had all unknown faces

It’s heavily rooted in Telugu rayalseema (location, costumes, culture, dialect) which the rest of the country wouldn’t be familiar with …

It managed to do what it did despite all this…pretty commendable ..

Other than the accent and language nothing seems extra ordinary in the movie.

I am actually from the region and can see the efforts they have put in to get local dialect right. AA as telugu speaker getting the accent right is good but rashmika getting the accent correctly is commendable.

Apart from the local flavour, can't figure out why it is a huge hit. What is so interesting about this movie to the Bollywood audience?

I tried watching it because of all the hype (yes yes, I am sheep ... maiiinnnn)

But its hard to get through it. The direction style is just bleh to me. I will give it another attempt because I don't want to be left behind in my peer group #SheepAlert

I never thought I could sit thru this movie, but I did, survived in a good way 😃

its a gangster masala show....which does hold your interest till the end,

no wonder its a success😆

well because the main lead has THE HERO vibes like those older amitabh dharmendra movies hero who is unbeatable always have great entries with aggressive bgm

cringe and OTT yes but people enjoy these kinda of characters even ITV is returning to these kind of roles
