I dont know if you noticed but watch the Akshara's public confession scene again, where she runs and crosses Harsh. In that scene he didnt seem angry, he seemed worried and distressed.

Also at home, he was worried about Goenka's would treat Abhi in their house. He actually does love his son but his ambitions get in the way.

but his hatred towards akshu is more then love for abhi...and once the adoption is out,,,,our abhira is on their own,,,except Neil and raita maa no one will support them (I highly doubt if Mahima family will support abhi)
