But I should say Lathaji and Ashaji had their share of luck also. They never had a great competition and had the option to choose if they want to sing or not. Current situation is so competitive that likes of Shreya and Sunidhi also agreeing to sing whatever comes in their way be it even for small regional films.

That is part of the reason. But she should have got work in the 2nd half.
Shreya too became a Mom in May. She still has 14 songs since 2021 including "Param Sundari'. (9 in 2020). [Also, 40 odd regional songs in 2021]
I think parenthood cuts out tours/gigs, not studio singing. But, it does impact output to an extent.

If it was just about competition than it would still be fine. An amazing singer will always cut through the competition.The problem is lack of good compositions, compositions that can turn a singer into a star and something which will be remembered for a long time. They are so few in numbers that it's almost a miracle when a singer gets it. Singers in the past 5 years have been the most unlucky.Harshdeep in that way is extremely lucky to land Dilbaro this far into her career. That song will have a long shelf-life. A Srivalli has done more for Javid Ali's career than 20- 30 songs could have.

After reading this iam thinking HR said he wrote 100 songs and if Sonia also wrote another 100 songs. I think 3-4 HR's singers don't need to look out for opportunities outside they will easily get 50 songs to their credit from HR himself🤣
