It is actually appalling to me when so many in the forum wants Aarohi to be insulted based on her "gandha khoon". I too hated Aarohi for her behavior towards Akshara when the show started. But that was because of her behavior. It didn't really matter to me what her background in that sense is.

But this need to hear that insult being thrown and the constant reference to how her legacy is a parlourwali nani (Goenka kaandan ki suhasini was not any better than Aarohi's nani. The kind of shit mimi did, even though she is seemingly innocent now) to show her in bad light makes my blood boil.

And we wonder why the world is still divided by race, class, caste and gender.

This has been going on since Sirat.. She was hated for her background and social status and that was held over her as proof that she was a gold digger who wormed her way into the rich Goenka family. Seriously, Sirat's character was actually pretty well written for itv and her story proceeded logically and simply but was cut off bcz of the audience backlash against another woman taking naira's place, as they supposed. So now I think people feel avenged when her daughter's shown in a bad light and naira's daughter emerges a heroine.

But one thing I want to clarify as someone who discovered yrkkh since the sirat track and watched the whole and then watched all the previous stuff as well, Sirat was loved and accepted in that family for herself, not just as naira's replacement. The only person who had reservations was Manish. Sheila was an evil mum who couldn't see her daughter's (sirat) happiness and always tried to sabotage it. Her filling aarohi's mind with such stuff was another such in a long line. Sirat knowing her mum always kept her away from her girls.. But after she dies there was probably no keeping away that obnoxious woman.

The so called "sisters" had at least 15 years after Sirat's death to eventually solve their misunderstandings. And they were just let to be themselves in that time. Arohi was still spewing venom to Akshu the day she came back and didn't even want Akshu's presence around her, and literally told her that she hates Akshu's existence in a very nasty way.

Arohi couldn't see Akshara being loved by the family, and wanted Akshara to go away from them all because she wanted to be the only one with limelight. Along with putting up a facade of being cordial with Akshu in front of the family. The "sister's relationship" has been toxic and messed up since even before Sirat's death.

Arohi is a brat who'll never be happy with Akshu whatever she does. She'll never be okay in peacefully co-existing with Akshara whatever happens. Even if Akshara stupidly sacrifices her life for Arohi, Arohi will only feel bad for her after Akshu's demise, and she's become so selfish and apathetic (which is not necessarily unrealistic as there are psychopaths like that in reality) that she'll just move on easily and it won't stop her from living her life.

Of course, since she thinks Akshu is worthless without any value in life and that she herself is the best. Akshara should just leave Arohi alone instead of forcing herself on Arohi. But mahaan ITV FL has to be a spineless doormat.

Just to hate on Abhimanyu, Arohi can't be whitewashed, and Arohi and Akshara's pathetic, toxic relationship can't be ignored. The girls are better off if they keep away from each other. Abhi won't become the "real culprit" just because a sad background music is added to select scenes of Arohi's childhood trauma, which by the way, even Akshara and Kairav have faced in equal measure if not more.

But that didn't make Akshu and Kairav venomous and evil. Arohi simply lacks empathy for Akshara in general, and she doesn't care one bit about Akshara, unless Akshu is on the death bed from a fatal accident.

As long as Akshara is alive, Arohi will find some new favourite toy or the other and throw a nasty tantrum by blaming that Akshara snatched it away from her. This time the toy happens to be Abhimanyu. Even if Abhimanyu is not in the picture, Arohi's favourite object of obsession will be something else or someone else, and she'll still torture Akshara like she's been doing from day 1. There's no "eventual solving of their misunderstandings" because their issues arise from Arohi's disgust at Akshu's existence, and Akshu's doormat behaviour where she is happy & always ready for Arohi to use, abuse and throw her.

There's no end to such deep-rooted psychological issues that come from childhood. The only solution in such instances is to move away from the person or relationship. Only then can either party be at peace. They can never be cordial half-sisters, let alone a normal sister relationship.

All of Arohi's childhood trauma and the insults she faced do not give her the right to treat Akshara like her personal slave throughout their lives, and there's no justification for the harassment and abuse she's been meting out to Akshara from childhood.

Just because someone suffered in life in the past, that doesn't give them the right to treat others like trash and repeatedly gaslight and bully them away from their own family. And Arohi just uses Akshara by manipulating her every single time into hiding her lies and lying for her. Their relationship is a blot on sisterhood, with or without Abhimanyu in the picture.

The 15 years after sirat's death was the time when that hate on aarohi's side took hold. They had personality clashes before. As you say only solution to this could be for them to stay away from each other. Whether the issues between them get solved or not, Abhimanyu has definitely made them worse with his two timing. If he had really understood akshu and where she comes from he would never have agreed to his family's proposal for aarohi knowing how much it would increase akshu's problems.

If Abhimanyu was two timing, what was Akshara doing then? Promising her sister that she'll stay away from Abhi but getting close to him in reality - isn't that two timing as well?

The sister's problems were bound to get worse just with both of them living under the same roof. Abhi has no role to play here. Their relationship was messed up and toxic right from the beginning. Even if Abhimanyu didn't exist, Arohi would have found some other obsession to harass Akshara. We saw that it's what she's been doing right from day 1. The "sister's" problems wouldn't have ended even if he wasn't there in the picture.

And Arohi's behaviour on the day Akshara returned - that was not personality clash. That was toxicity and psychopathic behaviour. Arohi has been bullying and abusing Akshara from the beginning and Akshara has been allowing her to do it. Arohi literally manipulated and blackmailed Akshara into giving up her feelings for Abhimanyu. She's been outright venomous to Akshara throughout. Nothing justifies such pathetic behaviour.

If the hate took hold on Arohi's side for 15 years and things only became worse since that point, I don't see why things would sort out now even if Abhimanyu isn't there in the picture.

Abhimanyu also doesn't know the sister's relationship dynamics. He's unaware of the Sirat story. He told Arohi recently that he doesn't know why she thinks Akshu killed her mother. He asked Akshara about this when the lady (who had fallen from the temple stairs) got admitted in the hospital. But again Akshara chose to lie and hid the truth behind why she was so affected. She has to learn to open her mouth and speak if she wants anyone to understand her and where she comes from. There's no way for him to know how much Akshu's problems will increase if she upsets Arohi.

And the solution to Akshu's problems is also not to always sacrifice what she likes. But it should instead be to face the brat that Arohi is.

Can we pass on the blame or do the honours of peer reviewing Leena Gangopadhyay's writing skills

After all it is her stories that has been converted into copies.

She has this unique ability of crucifying Male Leads

Vanraj Shah, Virat Chavan, Aditya Kumar Tripati and Dr Abhimanyu Birla are her characters im reality.

In comparision Drji is somewhat better than the rest.

Garima spoilt Yrkkh credibility by bringing in Aarohi. Krishna was adopted and it more sense if she stepped into Aarohi's shoes.

Coming to Yrkkh

If Abhimanyu has the foresight then there is no difference between him and Neil.

The character is developed in a manner to create rifts between the two sisters.

In the original, Adrija becomes more crazy because Anurag became Meghla's shield..

So then whatever Leena ji's writing skills, this character of dr. Abhi is to be this way according to the OG. Not a nice one. And that's the root of my grievance. They should not have brought this remake as a part of yrkkh. I hate to see the Goenkas and Kartik's children like this. If they brought it as a new show I wouldn't even have bothered watching it.

I wish to see Arohi's character growing whether in the show or a separate spin off... Howmuchever vile she may have been, I still like her upfront nature... She thinks for herself, puts herself first before anyone or anything and that's the finest thing any human can have... But her approach is wrong which maybe rectified if her character is progressed in a right manner. I love and hate her character as much as I love n hate AbhiRa...
