While watching the song I just realized ....it's azaan Sami Khan who is the lyricist...composer and singer of the song Ibadat

And in the OST scenes it seems Azlaan is going for the kill yet also redeeming himself at the same time and Azaans expressions and body language is just excellent

Azaan is a good actor but the character he is playing is a very challenging one. It needed a seasoned actor and not a debut one. He is inconsistent in his scenes, in some scenes I felt his grief especially in the last scene of today but in others I felt nothing.

Agreed, I feel like he brings the show down a bit. A better, more experienced actor would have elevated this show such as AAA, Imran Ashraf, Zahid, Feroze or Danish Taimoor. Azaan was basically handed a good story and challenging role on a silver platter but he didn't do much with it. He just wasn't ready for it. He is inconsistent while another actor would have sunken his teeth into it and turned it into a career defining performance. It's even more glaring since he is opposite two of the best actresses of this generation. Fortunate man.

I wouldn't go as far to say he didn't do much with it. I am sure he put in his best efforts but like you mentioned he just wasn't ready for it. There will always be marginal difference between effort and experience which is reflected in his inconsistency.

Yes, no doubt he has put in the effort but unfortunately that effort hasn't translated onscreen when it comes to major scenes. I am hoping that he is able to portray his character's shades and the emotional scenes much better as the show progresses but he definitely missed the mark in some of the most important developments. This unfortunately diluted the impact of those scenes.

Tots agree, I wish they didn’t give away so much. TRP was also going good, unless they want Parizad numbers. I am now going to definitely watch it regularly. I love love how Yumna looks older. See these tiny things really make a show.

I am beginning to wonder if seasoned actors were approached and they refused it, because both Sajal and Yumna were in it. They felt their role would go unnoticed next to these women. Which in turn makes me wonder if because these two women are so good, that he is unable to really match it, so even his best is falling short

No this show was very much the debut mega launch show for Azaan Sami Khan

No one rejected it

And as I keep saying....Azaan is very good considered it's just his debut

Other actors mentioned above were worse in their initial days.....except for Zahid .....Zahid killed it from his very first show itself

I think it's because they were scared viewers might stop watching post-Sajal because many people were confused ke story kahan jayegi

So it was mostly to save face

This was also playing right after Parizaad next ep promo live so it has reached a large number now... and I do think most of PZ audience is same as IEL

Coz after seeing the OST lots of fans r saying now they will regularly watch the show to see how Azka Azlaan storyline pans out

anyways I agree with you, I think he has done quite a decent job, the only reason I didn’t watch the past few episodes, because I knew they would stretch a little after Sajal’s death. It was definitely NOT because of Azaan. In fact, I feel he was very convincing in the romantic scenes. I am going to restart the show, can’t wait.
