Has there been a recent solo RD special, the Indian Idol one was more of a Kishore + RD special with Amit Kumar as guest as far as I can remember, RD is so much more than this. In 2000's there used to be regular Solo RD tributes same with Rafi sahab even Naushad sahab on their birth anniversary or something.

If it helps Lata ji is such a big figure that even when she's not present, contestant still sing her songs.Every contestant is still compared to her even today that shows her ever lasting influence. Even I don't like to watch these shows but my father likes to watch them so sometimes I end up watching them with him.

On Arunita's birthday, a teeanger / early 20s girl who has stage 4 cancer had joined the IG live to wish her happy birthday. Apparently she also mentioned in her comment that she has cancer and Arunita's singing helps her - or something to that effect. Runa Ashish (Filmy Khichdi) mentioned that in her YT video and wished this girl good luck. Additionally somebody called Sachin also noticed this and he got in touch with either Arunita or Darshini somehow. Darshini and Sachin then sent a DM to this girl that Arunita would like to talk with her. Since she didn't read her messages they did some digging and found her brother and wrote to her. Eventually that call took place, Arunita spoke with the girl and wished her well. This girl then informed Runa Ashish to thank her and was interviewed by Runa Ashish today.

Long post... Because I thought this was a wonderful gesture by Arunita.

In the interview yesterday Uttara also said that Arunita told her that ever she gets a chance to visit Nagpur she will definitely meet them in person.

Maybe too much traveling and shows/concerts. She needs rest.

So Mr Neeraj Kalkar has very quickly removed the post he had to put up - after swallowing all his pride - where he had to wish Arunita on her birthday.🤔
