I've watched a lot of the shows you've mentioned!

Downton Abbey, schitt's creek, parks and rec, bridgerton to name a few!

You could try How I met your mother, which is a show similar to Friends, in terms of the friendship dynamic, but otherwise quite different plot wise

There's also Two and a half Men. And I'm currently watching Arrested Development, which is good so far. Starts out slow but then it gets really good.

Other sitcoms I've watched are Community, Modern Family, Brooklyn nine-nine, Veep, big bang theory, Silicon Valley

American Vandal was a mockumentary on true-crime shows - hilarious

If you're looking for crime-related shows, then you can try Mentalist, Sherlock, Dexter (very intense, from pov of a serial killer), Only Murders in the building ( comedy as well), Elementary

Fantasy - His Dark Materials, Shadow and Bone, Stranger Things, Umbrella Academy,

Fleabag was AMAZING! Can't stress that enough! It's one of the most real shows I've ever watched

Gilmore Girls was also really good!

Atypical is a show about an autistic kid trying to make it through high school and later, college, while navigating relationships and family life. You can watch it for the comedy and drama

That's it for now, that post was wayyy longer than I intended 😆

I don't watch much TV so it was great seeing some of these suggestions too. I only keep up with the Disney+ Marvel and Star Wars streaming series.

Here is my measly list:

Korean Drama

Hotel Del Luna - its like Fantasy/Horror with light romance. I really liked the way they discuss about life, death, trapped souls, and the afterlife

Animation

Castlevania

Arcane

Crime drama

Sherlock

Special OPS

Ok let's see - comprehensive list coming up!

For feel good/funny - Ted Lasso, Grace and Frankie, Ugly Betty (and Schitt's Creek which of course you've seen!)

For feel good/family dramedy -Switched at Birth, Parenthood, Jane the Virgin

For drama/edgy - The Good Wife (highly recommend), Nip/Tuck, The Morning Show, Succession, Westworld, The Leftovers

For thought-provoking dark/social horror - Euphoria, Them, Lovecraft Country

For comedy - Coupling (British), Veep, Brooklyn 99, Superstore, Life in Pieces (some episodes are literally LOL), Man like Mobeen (edgy comedy), the Mindy Show (it's a staple for ABCDs, my Indian cousins had a mixed reaction to it), Crazy Ex Girlfriend (comedy/romance/edgy musical - it's a whole genre in itself)

For romance - Four Weddings and a Funeral (tv series), Never have i ever (another ABCD staple), Starstruck (same lead as Four weddings - Nikesh Patel, cutglass cheekbones and dimples!)

For medical (no butter knives!) - Chicago Med, The Resident

An Indian show I watched recently and liked a lot - Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhen on Netflix

MARSEILLES is also pretty good

It's super watchable but kind of pulpy... set in a fancy High School, fair amount of eye candy.

I also could not finish Who Killed Sara. Or House of Flowers.

Lupin's on my list. I liked The Hookup Plan, sort of like a French Friends 🤣
