Yes he did but otherwise Akshara and Manjri were building the foundation called disaster.
Aarohi manipulated the situation accordingly to her advantage. Played her cards well. Through Manjri her goal was achieved.
If Abhimanyu waited for a positive response then Akshara would have officially become his saali.
Anyways it will Akshu having an upper hand in their relationship not the other way around.
