This person could be biased toward 83 but those annoying Race 3-like south movies getting aarti utaro welcome by BW and its audience is mind-boggling.

Shows that audience still love 80s masala most whether it's single screen or multiplex audience , all want one alpha man hero worshipping with flowerpot women role just done with better budget and visual, bahubali,kgf,pushpa all follow the same trope , only film that worked suryavanshi more or less the same but with less competent and creative director rohit shetty.

I disagree with Bahubali though. Sivagami and Devasena are two of the most iconic characters in Indian film history. Never heard about kgf though and Pushpa is boring same hero smashing 100 villians shit. Got saved because of Allu Arjun only.

Caught Covid. So off duty since 2 days. Watched few movies like 83, Bhoot police (surprisingly good), Spencer (for the 8th time), Encanto, Dune and Jai Bhim (great movie).

Anyways, after watching 83, I will say it's only the nostalgia factor that attracts towards the movie. India's first WC win against mighty WI. That's it. It was just like a documentary. Nothing else. And I didn't see Kapil Dev in Ranveer Singh. Sorry. And I completely disagree with the tweet. Don't think so high of 83(though Oscars have become mediocre).

And Jai Bhim is amazing. Surya is amazing. If something can be considered for Oscar, then this movie fits the bill.

Completely my opinion. No offence to anyone.

Isolated myself. Me and my child in one room. Child is small and as I am home, he isn't leaving me. My husband is negative. Good thing is not much discomfort except slight throat irritation and runny nose.
