What are we taking in the name of positivity?

Do we remember the initial promos ofBALH2? It was a story of two seemingly different people from two different walks of life, one 32, one 38 with contrasting personalities and likes! A mature love story not the hyperactive girl becoming the rehabilitation centre for a badly raised angry young man.

The story was about these two people falling in love realistically. Finding liking in mutual things and the tagline "love can happen after marriage".

I'm not a fan of it as such since a lot of arranged marriages end in tragedy with even murders and domestic abuse. I'm not fan of the glorification of the Indian Shaadi beyond what it is.

But here, it was Ram & Priya who deseved second chances and who within themselves longed for meaningful companionship.

And finally what has this show become? How tacky and pointless! I just rewatched the pilot episode, how beautiful crafted and directed it was showing the entire lives of these two characters and the meaty supporting roles! What has it fallen to? Did we sign up for this?

In the pretext of not being negative or aggressive we are worser fools than the leads! Will we keep quiet if we paid for dolce Gabbana dress and when we opened the packet and saw a 50 Rupee nighty? Then how can people like EK cheat and take us for granted like this?

Isn't it high time realistic meaningful stories are shown on TV why this hogwash?

I'm totally done with this nonsense. Now BALH2 is a buri unproductive aadat I need to detox on aur kuch nahi!

Arre, we are all on the same page. Frankly, at present, I am taking it as a comedy show as I am as clueless as to the writers. Most ITV shows start with a bang and lose their steam somewhere in the middle. If the MU goes beyond my comprehension, I will just say tata bye bye to the show.

They should show how two people find love in their 30s, show meaningful conversations. Being single or getting married, both are good. How do we deal with situations are all that matters. Whatever said and done, there will be some maturity when we are in our 30s but Ram's character is something I fail to understand. How can he be a successful businessman when he can be so easily manipulated. When he himself says to Priya that he married for his family and love can never happen, why does he even expect from Priya? He even told her she can lead her life in her way.

Even Priya lost her steam after marriage. She has mellowed down.

There are scenes like Ram doesn't know where Priya and Priya doesn't know where Ram is. Arre, they have phones, they can WA each other. In the worst-case scenario, they can install trackers on their phones to know each other whereabouts.

I stop my rant. I will continue to watch for my first love, Shashi and second love, Neeraj 😆

I also started to watch this as my first Itv coz of all the reasons u have mentioned and coz of nakul and disha's amazing chemistry in the initial promos.....

But in this past week I have gone from being so frustrated with the plot so as to start posting here for the first time for venting to being desentisized and pretty much just here taking it as a comedy/ sci fi /drama/BL lovestory/thriller hybrid story and joining fanclubs of villains....👏

I am now like those people who watched GOT just for the those scenes and had no idea abt the plot🤪

similar to them I just watch wait for 5seconds of RaYa and forward the rest and just get updates from here...even deciding after reading updates to actually see or to not see...

So we all are in the boat drowning very slowly🤣
