Why not spend time building the story. Better conversations between Apoorva and Shashank would be a nice start.

Either they're running out of actors due to covid or its a ratings gimmick.

Yeah it is possible they are running out of actors due to covid. How rating is going to effect bringing few minutes someone else form another show. I guess all viewers feel disconnect as it does not add anything to story progression
