CHAPTER 3

Next morning:

Aarohi woke up first and saw Neil and Akshara sleeping like child. She gets up and start waking these two up but they don’t even move a little. Aarohi gave up and decided to make breakfast for them.

She freshens up and goes in kitchen to make breakfast for them. Pancakes for Akshara, egg omelet for Neil and some oats for herself. After some time, she goes in the room and saw Neil awake trying to wake Akshara up.

“Aarohi!! Dekh na yar. Yeh uth ni rahi. Tu hi utha isko!”

Neil said and with that he gets up and went to the washroom while Aarohi tries to wake her up.

“Akshu get up now! Its morning! Come I made your favorite today. Chal get up now!”

As soon as she heard her favorite breakfast today, she opened her eyes and cutely blinked her eyes few times and gave Aarohi a big smile and hugged her. Aarohi smiles at her and hug her back. It is common for her to see this every time they sleepover. Aarohi ruffles her hairs and tell her to freshen up and come in the hall.

Soon Neil and Aarohi are sitting in the hall waiting for Akshara to come. After few minutes Akshara comes in her cute oversized hoodie with fuzzy socks and a beanie on her head looking so freaking cute and Neil and Aarohi couldn’t stop saying aww. Hehe.

As soon as she sits on the mat, Aarohi puts some pancakes on her plate with lots of maple syrup and whipped cream. Akshara’s eyes twinkled seeing her favorite breakfast. She starts eating her breakfast.

Soon three of them finish their breakfast and just lying down watching Netflix. They have a movie marathon and don’t even realize its already night. Aarohi sees Akshara already dozing off so she covers her with the blanket and soon Aarohi and Neil also doze off with her on the mat in the hall after switching off the Netflix and projector.

Next morning:

Akshara wakes up on time as soon as her alarm goes off. She has classes this morning and a night shift at the grocery shop. She sees Neil and Aarohi sleeping so she didn’t wake them up as she knows neither of them has classes or work today. So, she gets ready make breakfast for them and put a stick-on note for them and leaves for her university.

She enters the university with her books in her hand, she was listening to music and didn’t noticed where she was going and soon, she bumped with a guy and her books fell down from her hands. She cursed and was ready to shout at the person but then she didn’t react and just picked up her books while the boy said sorry to her but she just walks away from there leaving the guy puzzled.

“Hey girl, I am sorry! I just didn’t saw you coming. Really sorry!”

The guy said but Akshara just walks away. She goes in her class and waits for the professor to come. Suddenly she saw a guy entering the class, the same guy who bumped with her. The boy saw her and smiled but she just looks away.

The boy came and sat beside her as that was the only free space left.

“Hey! So, we met again! I am Abhimanyu, you?”

The guy tried to make a conversation with her but Akshara just hates to interact with boys so she just ignores him. After some time, her classes are over.

Akshara’s POV:

Finally, the classes are over. Urgh this guy, he irritated me so much. But I never saw this guy in the university. Everyone here knows not to interact with me but he, he tried to make a conversation with me, definitely he’s new here.

While going back, I heard people talking about the new guy, I just ignored all of it and left for my job. I saw Aarohi there doing her work. I go and gave her a hug and then start my work at the cashier spot. It was a busy day today. Aarohi had her classes in the evening today so she left while I had still 2 hours left as I was doing a evening shift due to my classes.

Soon, I finish and I am leaving for my place. I took a bus today, God! Such a tiring day. I just close my eyes and put on some music, relaxing a little.

After few minutes, I reach my stop and I get off the bus walking till my building, I enter my place and I just crash on my bed, I was so tired that I doze off in just few seconds.

Next day:

Akshara wakes up and does her everyday morning routine and leave for her university. Today even Aarohi had classes in the morning so both of them went together, soon they reach university and went in different buildings, Aarohi in her medical sciences building and Akshara in her dance and music building.

It was a regular normal day, everyone busy with their own work and Akshara going in her class. It was normal till the time she felt someone staring at her, she ignored it first but then she started getting irritated at it. She turned back and saw Abhimanyu, same guy from yesterday staring at her. She glared at him while he just smiled at her. She just turned back in anger; she just didn’t want to interact with that crazy guy. Soon the professor comes and the lectures started.

Abhimanyu POV:

This girl, I don’t know who she is but she is something else, something attracts me towards her. I don’t know her name but she is really cute and pretty. It’s been a day here and I have been just noticing her instead of any other girl who tries to talk to me. She is different, really different. She stays alone in the whole campus, in class even in canteen. I tried to talk to her yesterday but no she just won’t talk to me rather keeps on glaring at me like she will just kill me with her looks, but she looks cuter when she is angry.

Urgh, what’s happening? Why I am thinking so much about her? Concentrate on your studies Abhimanyu, get back to work. I had one more lecture about Music with this girl then I had back-to-back 3 lectures in medical department, its hell tiring sitting at one place moreover lectures are of longer duration here. After few hours finally lectures are over and we have lunch break.

I went in the canteen and I saw the same girl also coming in the same direction as me, she just walks past me and go and hug a girl in the canteen. Oh! So, she does have a friend here but who is she, Oh! She’s one of my classmate. I saw her once today. I saw the bench next to them empty so I sat there after giving my order in the cafeteria. Our university’s cafeteria is more like a restaurant having all types of cuisine. I was playing subway surfers on my phone when I glanced at that girl, I wish I could know her name but right now she looks so freaking cute, I have always seen her in angry mode, this is the first time I saw her smile. She is so cute and her smile, it just makes me stare at her. I was smiling looking at her but my trance broke as soon as the waiter got my food. I ate my food while glancing towards her without her noticing it.

“Akshara, how’s your course going on?

Akshara, so her name is Akshara. Such a pretty name. finally, I get to know her name. Thank you to her friend, hehe.

“Haan Aarohi, don’t worry, abhi sab sahi chal raha hai! You know how much I love dancing and music. Abhi for 2-3 days we’re gonna learn about history of dance n music in different countries! But yeah, there is some problem in the class!”

“What happened, Akshu? Tell me? All, okay?”

“Yar Aarohi, there is a new guy in my class and I don’t know why but he keeps staring at me and it just makes me loose my temper but I don’t want to create any scene so I am not saying anything”

“Oh Akshu! that’s the issue? Yar tu ab kab tak aise rahegi? You don’t talk to anyone else except me and Neil. Its high time now baby that you should interact with new people. Not that I am forcing you but it’s so long na baby, you were such an extrovert person in school and now you just want to kill anyone who comes near you!”

“Yar Aarohi please I really don’t want to talk about it right now. Tujhe pata hi sab”

Okay, I know its bad to eavesdrop but I just couldn’t help it and I heard their conversation. They dropped that conversation there only and started eating their food. I wonder what happened with Akshara. After hearing their conversation, I am sure its something big. In just few minutes, I get to know a lot about her which is enough for me to understand that she has some issues. She doesn’t like people except Aarohi and that Neil bhai of hers to interact with. One minute, did she said Neil? Was she talking about Neil Birla, my cousin or somebody else? Ufff pata karna padega kahi yeh mere bhai Neil ki hi baat toh ni karre. She was someone else but now she’s changed but why she changed? I don’t know why but I really wanted to know the reason behind her change. I wanted to know the real Akshara but I don’t know how? She doesn’t want anyone near her except these two.

I think I should take help from Aarohi. But why she will help me? she doesn’t even know me. Urgh!! Why the hell I am so focused on that girl. I just met her yesterday and already she is all over my mind. I need some fresh air now. This is too much.

I left the cafeteria and start walking outside missing my next class, I really didn’t want to attend classes right now. I went to the park near my university and just sat there. I love watching children and playing with them. They are so cute and lovable.

I thought that might get my mind off Akshara but that also didn’t help me. I am still thinking of her. She is all over my mind. Urgh! Aisa bhi kya hi hai usme jo who mere mind se nikal hi ni rahi. Her cute antics, her smile.

I thought I should go back at my place and sleep. I really need a good sleep right now. I left the park and walked towards my building where I stayed. I just got that flat yesterday eve, till now I was staying with my cousin here. I wanted a place for myself so that I can get privacy so I took a single bedroom flat here on rent.

Soon I reach the building, I enter the lift and press up the floor number, I reach my floor and went out, opened my flat, I saw that my flat is fully furnished and was kind of shocked as I didn’t know about it. So, I called my cousin and ask him about this and he told me that he did all of this as he had a spare key for the flat. I wanted to pay him back for all of this but I didn’t have that much money with me so I told him that as soon as he gets settled here with a job, he will pay him back.

There was a convertible sofa in the hall with a big mat on floor with a small projector which could be connected with a mobile or laptop and can be viewed on wall or any plain space. There were some crockery items for him to use and a bed in his room with some bedsheets and a fluffy blanket and few pillows. He just fell on the bed and in no time he slept.
