I haven't watched much of season 2 but I have seen clips where Naira too was in same situation where after shubham death she couldn't dance.

Shubham death time she fell from building and her leg was fractured. Kartik never knew it as naira hid it from him. After 2 yrs when they met in college in Mumbai he got to know abt that leg. He cared for her leg treatment as she can't dance with that injury. Dance was her passion and life so she has to do it but her life was in verge of accusations of Shubham death that she kept it aside. Later in her brain clot time it's told by swarna that her leg Operation too got it done. So Akshu too is getting the same. There also during operation time they were married second time.
