But Swarna started out well. Even as an adoptive mother who spent next to no time with her son, Swarna understood Kartik a lot more than what we're seeing with Manjari-Abhi. She also had a good relationship with her husband, managed the household well, stood up for Naira, and had her own arc and faults. Even later, her blunders were a result of her own conscious decisions.
