Also sab decisions sirf creatives nahi lete, baaki teams bhi involve hoti hai, Koel track ek sensitive issue tha, so I guess they wanted to encash Kaveri's popularity, she has done an SP show that too for RS, she is still popularly known as Kuhu (her previous character's onscreen name), I think she also did a cameo in rangeela show, toh must have thought to grab attention of female audience, par I doubt aisa hua ho, because promo hi itna late release kiya, better plan karte sab jagah promo release karte, Sony par, sm par tab buzz create hota & more people would have tuned in, bechare youth show & sensitive issue mein ulajh kar reh gaye
Also I think isiliye they didn't involve Faizi, coz Koel ke saath uska love angle banta toh galat lagta, audience sympathy for Koel divide ho jati

I think if they show Monu as support for Sid, then should show someone in support of Sanju too, aur Faizi jaise neutral insaan se expect nahi kar sakti mein, jisse Kundan ke baare mein pata bhi nahi hain shayad, toh definitely left with Karan.
If that was the case most trusted person will be Kunal, because he has already worked with this production house, team knows his potential, they know his popularity of the show which was telecasted on colors only, and they had build-up the base of Sid's character with Koel before Abhay entered the scene.
Makers have already introduced Koezi as opposite to each other so I don't think audience will find that wrong, and when that track was going on, Koezi doesn't share any romantic feelings with each other, makers have always shown them as someone who knows that the other person is good whom they can consider as friend and help them when they are in need of each other, infact they had a chance to show some progress in their relationship.
