I doubt any popular actor will agree to do this role unless it’s totally revamped into typical ITV ML. Lol koi unknown face laayegi Gul from Marathi industry again I feel 😆…..

@bold : this 100% and she already got ASR as her typical ML to do ek type ke to ho nahi sakte ab talaash ved khazaane se koi majboor berozgaar who will do it till it lasts.

Adi-Imlie are a very rare pair in ITV because their characters & setup was very different from the typical cliche rich, grumpy hero & poor, bubbly heroine.

Other pairs that were rare in ITV were Gul-Kesar, Datta-Naku, Abhi-Meera. These were different from the typical setup.

+10000 on what makes Adi-Imlie different...what I love about them is their simple baaton baaton mein bani huyi kahaani....and the effortless natural development of their pure bond that was triggered by otherwise unthinkable ugly circumstances...they really are organic ghonchus❤️

I've not been inclined to the long serial format until Imlie but Datta-Naku were huge with my mum and naani hehe😊

Haha absolutely. There is no doubt that Adilie were one of a kind in terms of writing, casting and performance. It’s especially kudos to GM-ST for playing Adilie with such a sense of purity and class in a story so controversial…..even now I was thinking just yesterday ki thank god they were never denigrated to the typical trash levels of ITV with pulling and pushing around. Yeh last downfall phase mein hurtful bhi huye toh with words and not physicality as a crutch. They exuded a unique kind of raw appeal together - unpolished and beautiful all the more so cuz of that.

I’ve watched other pairs with a soulful connect too but Adilie were shown with a different kind of humanizing even within that soulful connect. Again I feel it was GM-ST together that built a lot of that to be what it was.

Lol it’s going to be a naam ka survival unless they can revamp the story with some new drama that connects people to Imlie in a new way. Shaadi with Aru ji doesn’t seem like that can be it 🤷‍♀️ And original triangle ko khud hi beyond stale kar diya and now people will be unlikely to watch it with new face also 🤷‍♀️


Maybe they will try to sell it as do beheno ka drama since that’s all the rage these days too 😆

But tough times ahead for ST also as she will face the brunt of people jumping on her for trying to carry the show with whatever is left. Gonna be unfortunate negativity all around sadly.


On a lighter note, still hilarious that GM is quitting the show rather than be forced to pair up with Mayuri for any reality show as Adini 🤣

For IB leap after SC ka exit also, Gul had picked new replacement FL from Marathi industry who totally flopped😆. Lol I think she feels she can find cheap labor there quickly to cast in her shows 😆

this is so true and you've broken it down so well...there's no shortage of people on-screen and off ready to scapegoat Adi-Imlie but sach toh yeh hai that end of the day they're the most saaf dil and masoom in the show and who never once have deviated from having just the best intentions at heart

and so agree on what GM-ST as a team bring to Adi-Imlie...which is why as even RD was saying earlier ki its not just that Adi is still on the show or ST is still on the show...it's that connect which GM-ST together built that will be lost....the taal mel that was so evident even in their first look test

See ye month tak audience is there i feel.. Since it was shaadi hogi nahi hogi drama.. N then now it will where's Adi will he survive or not.. Ktna drag karenge aur fillers pe chalayenge..

Uske baad new face laayenge to bhi kya hi farak padh jaana even if there's some redemption track.. Didi ka jo bhi PF tha yehi tha.. Didi to kahi nahi jaane waali.. So ye kaha tak jaate hai i dont know
