I think they want to show aksharas love before getting her the truth of arohi as it will look random since till yesterday she was asking abhi to move on and now suddenly the truth comes and she will fight for their love so the transition has to be smooth... to show that they will show aksharas love first and finally she will also decide to be normal and then the arohis truth comes out and she wil fight then

I think this is their intention for showing akshara getting affected by abhimanyu

The built up is for Arohis exposure to Akshara third promo first. With Abhi distancing her she will feel more pain and realise the value of losing him but she can't claim him as it's going ahead for marriage. But when Arohis khaands come out and Ak is confronted she has to confess to him first then only Abhi will reject Arohi with second promo. If he rejects Arohi first and cones to her again back to square1.

I would say it's more of her decisions that drive her emotions she is so firm with the decisions she takes and she just stands by them she herself crcts her wrong doings
