In South Korea (and generally East Asia), 2022 is marked as the year of the (black) tiger. Historically, the tiger symbolized bravery, strength, and power and was worshipped as a mountain god that guarded villages. The tiger is the third of the twelve animals in the zodiac. This year is the year of the black tiger. Black tigers tend to be energetic, brave, and adventurous, mystical creatures that were generous with favours. (No, am not superstitious but it's always nice to know the humble beginnings of things)
