That's the point na yaar. Tbh, my mother would have respected Akshara too if I was in place of Abhi but never be able to smile as beautifully as she do. She will be able to understand that she does not saved Abhi and did not jumped into fire but did not even stayed back to ask about his welfare? My mother would probably glare her at too.
And like you said, she is confused and messed up but in first raita, tbh, everyone was a part of it even Abhi. In second, she is wrong to ask Abhi to marry Aarohi but she does have so many reasons for it and her reasons are well understood.
And of course she will be first to back AbhiRa but will it be worth it given Akshara is never going to take a stand?
If she hates Akshara, would it be bad? Would not it be realistic? Who knows when will Akshara will leave her son for her sister? Her insecurities tbh will make much more sense
