He should stop doing remakes and kalank was a distaster

Why not? He meets all the requirements for a Bollywood hero. And golly, he can act too. I don't know if this long break will do him any favor. On one hand it will allow people to forget the disastrous Coolie No.1. On the otherhand audience are fickle. Out of sight out of mind.
I agree that he was quite good in Kalank. But so was Sonakshi and Madhuri. I so loved his love-hate relationship with his mother. Did she abandon him on the streets? Or did she foster him out and he ran away? Anyone know?
Abandoned on the streets, unfortunately.
It was a weird film , where the one couple who should have had the most chemistry in their climactic scene together- MD and Sanju Baba- had ZERO spark or heat.

That's unforgivable. To abandon your child on the streets for the sake of your lover...and incidentally the father of the said child. I can see why Varun was so resentful. Both Madz and Varun conveyed a lot with their eyes in the first scene where they meet on the road. So much simmering resentment on his part and begging for a second chance on her part.
I agree. Sanjay and Madhuri had zero chemistry for all that she was supposed to be in love with him after all these years. His reaction is understandable. He's just incredibly selfish and snobbish and tired too. He views Madz and Varun as nuisances pestering him while he has to deal with a lot in his family life and business .And that too in an uncertain time where the very life of his legitimate family might be in danger.
He needs to keep away from doing movies for his family they are literally killing him.
I felt disgusted watching coolie and watching some of the dance moves that he was made to do. I couldn't imagine my mother making me dance like a pervert and thinking I look good. Also his dad wanting him to be a carbon copy of govinda like wtf. He is his own individual why make the movie exactly like the original. U make a remake make it better and add on to it and make your actors bring in their own charm. He needs to stop working with remo and his dad and he will be fine.
He's one of the only new gen actor that I like so I hope he starts picking good scripts.
This is so heart breaking...but good it seems sorted now....
