Last evening - while trying to find one particular song by Arunita- I checked 20 episodes of Saregamapa Lil champs Bangla 2013 ( episodes 40 to 60) - and felt that- this is how a good singing competition should be - Fantastic singing, good judges/and judging, good host, very entertaining ( without any BS drama of romance. poverty, babies and without any bias for any competitor) - this, I felt when I don't understand Bengali (but it had lot of hindi singing and some hindi talking). Couldn't find my song though - will check 20 more episodes later today.

Bengali Zee SRGMPA is a very popular show and watched by most families in Bengal. It is a show where judges decide on who wins without public intervention. A lot of invitee judges also give their opinion on the talent. They are specifically invited to do so. Sometimes the results are not to the liking of the public, like last season when Shankar Mahadevan was part of the final selection, but by and large the finalists are always the best talent amongst the contestants.

Loved the Zee Bangla Saregamapa because of the judges and the song selection. Got a true perspective of Aru's amazing talent. i focused on only episodes with Aru in them and only Aru's performance. I look at the end of the episode where they announce the performer of the day to see who was participating in that episode.

The song I am looking for is - Janey jaan dhoondta phir raha hoon tumhe raat din - as I had written earlier - boy sings his part in hindi and Arunita sings her part in Bengali. It is not uploaded by anyone on You Tube.
