This is why to imagine someone like Noora who is not just level headed but transparent as well by his side feels gratifying❤️

@bold,True. And her pre conceived notions about people led her to develop a judgemental outlook which categorized everyone into black or white. Wherever her character is headed to in this story,I wholeheartedly trust you to ensure that we are going to have fun with it 😆😉

@red,I was going through the chapters again(couldn't help it) and I took the liberty of imagining Sarah Khan as Noora.😉 Not only is she a bombshell but smart, confident and independent characters actually look great on her. Moreover just imagining her alongside Danny is a visual delight.

Exactly. To write such a brilliant character and to get such a phenomenal and intelligent performer like Danish to essay it on screen still lead to lousy writing. I honestly feel that Danish himself could've suggested a better storyline for his character 😆

@bold: this is what hurt me the most. Sultan literally did everything for everyone without batting an eyelid. His chachajaan and family's lavish life was sponsored by Sultan yet they treated him like some kind of award that could be bought for Narmeen. The only woman who ever saw as the one he could spend the rest of his life with never heard him out initially or gave him a fare chance. The only person who was there for him was his friend Fawad. But obviously he had a life of his own and could not have taken care of Sultan 24/7. Imo if I were Fawad, I would have genuinely set up Sultan on a blind date and asked him to go for it as a favour. And find him the kind of girl he could have fallen madly in love with.

No wonder you feel my pain and have started liking Noora.

Wow you trust me so much man, I am flattered 😆 All I can say is she won't be there much, but whatever ending I have for her, I hope it satisfies y'all 😆

I am loving the fact that you're giving it a second read! Makes me so freakin happy!

If Sarah's your Noora then go for it 😉 She can be whomsoever you want her to be. I had basically modelled her physically on those beauty traits that aren't popular today. Like normal almond shaped eyes, stubby-leaning to bulbous nose, lower up fuller than upper (ie not injected), round face, medium sized eyebrows which aren't over-groomed.

I pretty much detest the unrealistic standards of beauty set these days and because plastic surgery has become accessible to everyone, it's become the norm. I am not against these procedures, but why set such standards which don't even exist naturally in real life?

There are so many girls in the real world who are super stunning and don't fall into any of those guidelines. Personally, I don't fall into those too, now idk whether I'd be considered pretty by y'all or no and I am not posting a picture (😆) but I can turn heads whenever I want to. 😆

While I cannot change whats considered as "normal" today, I can definitely make my protagonists look different.

Sarah does fit that bracket to a certain extent, so I'd say good job 😆 I promise you though, the time I find a picture of someone who I think fits Noora's look, I'll post it 😆

Okay, filming is over for Atiqa, which means they have either done or the last few days might be remaining.

Atiqa's confirmed "sometime in Jan 2022", matlab ARY is looking for the right slot. I really am thinking this has become a Geo takkar show, that's why they want to make it a major competitor. Nahi toh ye NZH ko hi replace karta, jaan muchke delay kiya hai.

@bold,The onus of adding their exclusive personal touch to characters, who might otherwise appear generic, falls upon the actor's sense of ingenuity and creativity which Danish has in abundance. This is why I believe that the reason why we and everyone else was still hooked on to Sultan until the very end despite the lacklustre script was because of him. I have mentioned this before but the scene that takes place right after Sultan commits the unforgivable act of ordering Nageen's abortion which pretty much sealed his fate in which Sultan comes out of the doctor's cabin and ends up reminicising his moments with Nageen left me mystified because if we were to go by the so called writers then Sultan was already the Devil Incarnate. In that particular moment,Sultan seemed to be wrecked with guilt and regret as if he could not believe the heinous act that he had committed a few moments back to the very woman he loved and cherished more than anything else in the world. He didn't have a monologue or utter a single word but those expressions of his conveyed his thoughts in a crystal clear manner. I have always assumed that the entire credit for that scene belongs to Danish. It was all him because he understood the character better than anyone else. Of course I might be wrong but a girl can always guess😆The bottomline is that we couldn't give up on Sultan because Danish didn't give up on him.

The Durranis got away scot free without being held accountable for their share of mistakes and that irks me. Yes Narmeen may not have deserved to die the way she did but she was no saint either. She literally kept a tab on Sultan's life through his associate but the writers were too busy painting Sultan as the cause of everyone's grief to address the mistakes committed by the rest of the characters.

@red,Yeah who knows Fawad might have done Sultan a favour and led him away from all that madness that surrounded him.

@blue,This is something I agree with wholeheartedly. Beauty, for me,has always been a subjective matter. I could never wrap my head around the notions of conventional and unconventional beauty. Like what is considered conventional for some may not be for others. And the lofty standards that most people have in mind are way too warped to be any close to reality. Everyone has a right to do whatever they wish to with their bodies as long as it is legal and within their means but is it really worth going out of your way and opt for risky measures just to fit in someone else's viewpoint of what beautiful should mean? Personally I don't think so.

@purple,I hope you find her soon😆

Danish has always treated his characters as an extension of himself. It does not feel like he's merely portraying what the writers have written. Whether its a villain, hero or a man with grey shades, Danish treats every character as his own. He doesn't act, he lives the character. Hence we get so attached. Otherwise, you and I would have never felt remorse after Jaan-e-Alam's death.

Yes I remember the scene you're takjing about. I avoid watching the last three episodes and don't deem it as canon at all, given how sloppy, inconsistent and abysmal the writing was. It was shameful to have wasted a character like Sultan Durrani.

Tbh, this is what I think happened. The writers had already set up Sultan as the character who would not get his HEA but the audience continued to root for Sultan. Thus they wrote the entire abortion bit, hoping they could sway us. Unfortunately, that did not happen either. At the same time, I think Danish must have not been convinced, rather he probably disliked that bit, so he gave it his own personal touch. Because he was Sultan Durrani, and he knew him like no one else did.

That scene in particular basically showed that Sultan was never a bad man. He made bad decisions based on impulse and emotions, then suffered the consequences of them. What I even sensed in that scene was that even though the child was not Sultan's, he feels the pain and guilt of having taken away a defenceless unborn's life.

I still am so pissed with the way the Durranis got away with everything. They were all horrible people who took advantage of a good man, and when he snapped, they blamed it all on him, playing the victim card. The fact that Chachijaan, who was such a sly b*tch, hiding her daughter's truth and painting the wrong picture, got to keep Rameen will never be understood by me. Sultan paid for everyone else's sins too. You're forgetting that Narmeen also leaked that video of the slap and then pretended to be Sultan's sympathiser. She literally manipulated the entire situation so that he would marry her. No wonder I never felt even the slight amount of grief when she died.

Lol, if only Fawad was a bit stronger and guided Sultan in the correct direction. He was too much a softie.

True. I am not against PS, but buying an entire new face and body and making it this unrealistic standard is very disturbing. I kid you not when I say I've heard children look at the newest Bollywood actresses group and said "I need lip fillers". Can't tell you how that disturbed me. These industries talk about diversity, but never show it. I had decided on certain procedures myself, before I realised what would be the difference between me and the others?

And if by doing my own bit, I can encourage others to be more accepting of themselves, then I'd prefer doing that. I don't mind slight tweaking, but not to the extent where one's created this unattainable image and the only ones laughing their way to the bank are plastic surgeons.

Lol this feels like Rahul trying to find Maya in DTPH. smiley36
