ARUNITA KANJILAL AT #10 (strictly for only Arunita fans) - Page 100

Just wanted to introduce myself to this august group of Arunita fans and give my heartfelt thanks to you all for supporting/defending/promoting/admiring/loving AK18 for the last year.

I am in the US(west coast) and have been following Indian Idol for a couple of years. When I first started looking at II12 videos, I initially liked Pawan but soon got totally swept away by Arunita's overall performance - singing prowess, style, emotional connect, innocence, passion for singing, magnetic charm. Also started following all the the AT's created for Arunita to catch up on what I had missed - so appreciate all the analysis and discussion in these forums.

I signed up for Sling, ZEE TV so I could watch all her past performances & judges reactions and my respect and admiration for Arunita grew exponentially. Her performance in Zee Bangla Saregamapa at the age of 10 was ethereal. For those who have not watched her performances here, I would very much recommend them.

I would very much recommend these 2 performances from the Zee Bangla days - her finale performances - Bhare Naina and Ami Je Jalso Ghore . I know RealityShow had put links sometime back for these but didn't really see any comments. If you don't have access to Zee, you can access these from Facebook page of somnath.bhattacharyya.37. He has a lot of videos for all AK performances - (sorry Mr. Bhattacharya for not taking your permission but know you are her well wisher since years based on your FB postings)

Bhare Naina is my most watched performance so far - just blew me away and still does. Can't believe she couldn't showcase her immense range and versatility in II12.

I can't post links as newbie so if you go to the above FB page, go to videos, it is the 15th one from the top which shows the chorus singing.

I only watch her performances so am biased completely and have no reference for comparison with the current talent pool. Thanks for the links to arunitakanjilalfans.in website - use the discography to listen to her songs while driving and social bio update is also great to see how well she is doing.

What I wish and pray for her is what Akriti Kakkar said after the Zee Bangla performance of Abke sajan sawan me -

"I want to see you as one big shining star, big, big, big, big, very respected, very looked after singer"

As few , don't like to see her wasting time at Bongaon home , so it is relief for her to spend time at her would-be in-laws house .

UK has Better scenary than Bongaon. So good for her to spend time there , singing at bonfire , than wasting time at Bongaon or Mumbai.

Soon , she will be more in uttarakhand ...busy in academy work and attending pahari cultural shows and concerts as guest attraction...

Do consider the following possibilities:

1. This trip may be for professional purposes - I speculated about Artists Valley project, for example.

2. Or it may be for attending the wedding - sometimes people take a call that somebody in the hospitality / tourism industry could be a useful networking contact to have for the future, so if they invite you for their wedding it is a good idea to attend.

3. Or it may be for religious purposes. We don't know if there was some kind of "mannat" to visit some temple if these overseas trips are successful - after all, it will take another rather phenomenal talent to beat her record of being the youngest Indian artist to perform at Wembley. That type of religious trip is quite common.

I don't think a trip like this one justifies using labels like "would-be in-laws."

Why are we even discussing these things? Let her be. She is followed because of her singing skills. She does not need parental guidance. She has enough of that I presume.
Maybe we should all stop posting non-singing related stuff for a while here.
It stirs emotions with people over attached to the person and not purely to her singing.
Let her go to Uttarakhand or Nepal or USA with whoever she wants.
She is not our child. She is an adult and adults do what they want. If you don't like it, ignore it.
Let us focus on her music here for a while please and drop all unrelated posts for a while. Otherwise the atmosphere of this thread gets unduly vitiated.
