So are we supposed to ignore the fact that the lead actor, the director and the character this movie is based off are all A list? I’d understand her doing it for charity to help out a struggling actor/director. But this is once again demeaning Ranveer’s capability. She is a side character, Ranveer is perfectly capable of promoting this movie. No one expect her fans will go watch this movie because she plays the reel wife of her real husband. I wish Ranveer wasn’t as nice as he is sometimes.

Even I think Deepika should not be there, but she is more famous than the other cricketers

Good to know because so far in all the mainstream promotions I’ve seen she’s been at the centre stage and one would wonder if this is a romance movie led by the lead couple.

She is not actively involved. Jeddah and Dubai two core areas and a place where hindi movies are appreciated so it was important for the 2 big stars to be there.

She wasnt at the promotions in Cochin today. The other team members are also doing interviews in their select areas.

Not sure if we will see the whole team together though.

Anyway you cannot undo what has already happened so I don’t understand the point of getting worked up about it

That’s exactly my point, this Deepveer tag should go now, they’re not promoting Ramleela anymore and this movie is targeting a different audience. Both are legitimate A list actors in their own right who are now becoming the butt of everyone’s jokes for being OTT with their relationship. But Ranveer isn’t a victim, he’s obviously ok with this. I just find it stupid.

I don’t care if she is a producer, she is not the main character and the storyline and focus should be on Ranveer and the team mates. She should let others shine and stop being so greedy for attention and acknowledgement. What happened to the once sensible woman I used to like….

Of all Deepika's antics, this one is a non-issue. Her presence grabs more eyeball regardless of A-list hero, director, producer, etc. The producers of course want even those who don't watch sports movies to buy a ticket. Nothing wrong with it.

PS. There are Indians who don't like cricket 😆. I know it might come as a shock to sports fans, but those people exist. Their cash counts, too.

Yup and thus far she went to only Jeddah and Dubai.

Yesterday it was only RS and Kabir, with few others from the original team promoting in Cochin and Bangalore. Deepika did not even promote in her home city.

Aye, they hardly did anything, not even couple photoshoots or anything.

They do get a lot of love thats a given, its their first time promoting together after their marriage.

Yup, that's true. Hardy, Tahir, Dhairya, Adinath etc have been doing interviews too.
