I liked yami's wedding the best in the recent ones. No media circus and seems simple and real.

These pics are soo goodd! I particularly loved Virat-Anushka, Sonam- don't-remember-the-name, Rajkumar- Patralekha, VickyKat, Soha-Kunal! ❤️❤️

In those days it was not considered proper for bride and groom to laugh or dance or look too excited at own wedding. They were supposed to look stoic and girls were supposed to look shy, nervous and sad at leaving parental family.

All pre 2010s albums have groom, bride and relatives wear stoic expression only.

Most weddings were and are still arranged or a commercial or caste, religion based alliance. They are not love marriages where couple has to look happy and lovey dovey.

People from our parents' generation cannot understand today's trends of people dancing or having pre wedding photo shoots and posing like filmi hero and heroine or hugging and holding hands or kissing each other.

I think the current gen esp celebrities have insta, facebook and media in mind when they're posing, lauging and dancing for their wedding pics

People didn't use to laugh so much for pics before, either for wedding or everyday life

Though Dimple Kapadia was 16 and he was 30 at that time, the age diff doesn't show much in the pics

She always looked mature for her age even in Bobby

And Madhuri too although there were reception pics with BW celebrities...

Dimple may have looked mature but she certainly looks much younger than Rajesh in all old pics and it was illegal to marry a minor. Kaka gives pedo vibes.

I wonder how he got away with marrying an underage girl. Says a lot about weak implementation of laws in society and I am ashamed of Dimple's family that agreed to put their clueless teen into such an alliance.

Dimple suffered abuse at his hands. No wonder she moved out later and lived separately.

Because a proper law prohibiting the marriage of children younger than 18 only got finalized in 2006 - I am shocked to know this. 😲

The legal age for girls was 15 then, it became 18 in 1978

Bold - Such terms should not be thrown around so casually, lots of desis including big shots, respected leaders, some of our own forefathers will come under that category if we judge them by today's standards

I haven't heard about the abuse... He was distant and neglectful maybe but never heard of abuse before... She was so bored that she had an affair with a person she was not even in love with... That affair ended as soon as the marriage ended

Ok Sonam has now moved to my numero uno spot for most stunning bride. This brat should have really pursued a modelling career - she is so photogenic and ethereal. She just needs to keep her mouth shut.
