But seriously I dont like the actress at all.

Her vibes are not calm at all. She looks nervous at all times its irritating.

As Abhi's mother whom he considers a friend I would have expected a calmer personality although subdued.

They keep comparing her with Ak and thats even more irritating coz Ak has a wonderful vibe calm, happy and adjusting one.

Somewhere she is not fitting the bill as his mother. Like you said, she is always is in a hadbadi. She is always with this superficial smile stuck to her face and the Maa-beta rishta I am unable to enjoy. I think someone more mature and a little more elder than Harshad would suit this equation. It’s not about the role but more about the actress. The actor as Manjari and Harshad are of same age and that’s quite reflecting in their relationship onscreen. It’s not quite convincing.

As for the character, she is unable to help her son take the right decision. Now I get the point why Abhi has no worldly experiences. He has never gotten a chance and all that he does is spend time with his mummy who gives him all wrong advices. As a mother, she should have helped him to either move out of the mess (originally created by her) or show him a path which ll lead him to his destination (Akshara)
I wish they had cast some like how they had roped in for shaheer in yeh rishte hai pyaar ke.

Hey! I made a new post about who else can be HC' mom in the series.

Yes, she does not fit the bill not just as a face bu the acting. He is such a powerful actor so intense in his moments and she seems all confused pakdu, chodu,,, where should I put my hand.. mujhe bohot lack of confidence dikhta hai.

Atleast with her son she is supposed to be confident mom. But I am very uncomfortable watching her.

so I made a post who else could have been his mom. check and do post your choice.

I dont think it's the actress, I think it's the characte because I've seen the actress on other shows and she has a completely different role. Very outspoken and opposite to Manjri.

Akshara is not like Manjri, even I dislike this comparison.

how can you say that? You think any other actor playing Abhimanyu would evoke the same feelings within you?

Then replace him in your head and watch it. An actor comes with their art and tackles the character the way they have the understanding.

every time they imply Akshara is like Manjari it makes me cringe and it has nothing to do with the character for me.

Its the vibe. Akshara has a calm, soothing, happy vibe. In all her troubles she knows how to keep smiling. She seems mature, kind, generous.

Manjari does the same smile, laugh but she sounds stupid, giggly immature. and it has nothing to do with the character but what the actor brings to the table.

Akshara Sr. MIL was such a pampered lady always tried to interfere with AK-Naitik married life but I could still never dislike her... I was like wow she brings this jealousy and kindhearted mix so well. That is what happens when one understands the character. Living the character properly.

Baap re when did I say I could imagine someone else Abhi

I could never commit this sin! Both Abhi and Akshara could not have been played by someone else. I remember watching the promo scoffing that the show is trying to bring new cast and thinking they will never be able to make yrkkh the same again but i saw Harshad and then Pranali together and I was gobsmacked. It was that scene where they're in the river wishing for something. Absolutely loved how their glances stumbled upon each other and how Abhi was secretly glancing at her and how innocent they both looked. I've never fell in love with a couple this quickly! It was love at first sight 😂

So never! No one else can play Abhira!

I agree with you about Gayatri, she was obessed with Naitik and she did not even like it when Akshara would go to her mums house but I loved her character. In fact, I stopped watching when she died. About Manjri, I was also having the same thought that maybe they should have picked someone else but I personally do not have a huge problem with the current actress.
