His intention was to be no.1 and not save himself from nomination.

And moreover even if his intention was to save himself nomination he is right cuz when sanjeev asked he told that niroop had an advantage of coin.Here all were equal and none had an advantage.Anyone literally anyone could have been no.1 cuz everyone had equal chance.Not his fault if they couldnt convince him to get down

Also i believe that size of brain is equal for every human being irrespective of the length of hair.
