Pearl ji - yes Imlie loves Adi - but moving on does not make her characterless. She tried her best to keep the marriage. When she could no longer she gave it up at Adi's specific request - so he could remarry Malini. Still being in love with Adi - a man who thinks you are having a EMA while himself being a bigamist and again wants to remarry your sister - will not be a virtue that will be called stupidity of the highest order.

People do fall out of love. Not all love is a once happens and never can be destroyed emotion...that is super cliched. Love yourself first. Like Imlie said - sorry to herself today for humiliating herself over Adi.

Characterless is Malini who desperately tricks Adi with every trick in the book. Characterless is Adi who after begging Imlie to be his wife - failed her completely because he could not move beyond trust of his GD. Even after Imlie went through everything she did - Adi remained unmoved - that is characterless. Imlie leaving Adi after all is called dignity and self preservation. If she falls in love with Aryan and he loves her in return - I will be very happy for them.

If she will only loves Adi and will eventually gets back with him after he redeems himself - its her choice then too...but neither scenario makes her characterless.
