Okay so I am rewatching some scenes and this actress looks so young sometimes. Like the teenager she is.
Gosh that scene, her crying thinking on Aditya's words to her. All his accusations, doubt, criticism - the way she cried, her face scrunched up like a baby's.
As much as I hope Aryan's toughness will rub off on Imlie, I'm also hoping her softness will rub off on him. Better to feel your emotions and let them go than to bottle them up. Somewhere there is a balance to achieve.
These two, ugh, I just love them.

Okay, so today I decided to record my thoughts as I go because why not right?
.....
---- On a better note though, that promo. Promo oh promo, my kingdom for that promo. Aryan with his wet hair and Imlie with her confused face. Draaaaamaaaa 👿 💕
I love stream of conscious posts! && yas, girl yassss for no filter. 😆
masti aside, your post was truly great to read. I find the we, as the viewers, while acknowledging this is all fiction...need to remind ourselves to be kind to these characters. Watching their journeys unfold is a trip because we cry for them, we yell at them, we root for them and then we empathize with them. For example, with Imlie, she's so young and yet we expect her to be larger than her shoes. You are so right, she's a 19 year old girl who really hasn't experienced the world. She's an absolute child. I clearly remember thinking I was so level-headed and balanced when I graduated from university BUT it's a delusion. Even now, I shake my head at how much "growing up" I continuously go through. On top of this organic process of aging and maturity ... she's had to come to terms with being coerced into a relationship, differentiating feeling obligated to a societal perspective of pati parmeshwar & actually being in love, gaining a family, and then having her heart shattered by 95% of them at continuum. && then they're are people who say that she should know better? That she was the sauten?! That she should've done something?? Please, the people who should have been educating and protecting her shoved her down a path of potential oppression. I wonder what child at 18/19 will be able to see this situation with absolute clarity? I feel none.
I felt the exact same about the scene where Aryan honks at her to "get a move on it." It's another way where he's guiding her to not overthink stuff and just make up her mind.
As for Aryan, generally, I am really liking him. Despite everything scripted to make him a stereotypical character or a cliche, he's a softened version. Almost like a retold story with a different twist. I like how they've built his layers because his vulnerability has been put in the limelight from the beginning...we won't have to wait 75 epis to get depth 😆
s/n: 100% with you regarding the T's. I really don't see how they set up Imlie for success with that type of planning

Hello, hii, today Aryan and Imlie's scene in the rain stole the show...But before talking about that scene I have some observations from today's epi..
First and foremost, I like how Aryan did not give Imlie any dilasa like sab theek ho jaayega, she is standing alone and knocking the door he enters..This is symbolic to Aryan entering Imlie's vacant, empty life.. She is there alone and he comes, this kinda showed he is coming in to fill the void in her life.. That is how I saw it..
By the way I had a question, Aditya has decided to reconcile with Imlie and the whole Tripathi family knows it, wouldn't it have been for the better if Aditya called Imlie and spoke to her first..Wahan Imlie is grieving without knowing that Aditya has decided to bring her back..
In a way I feel Aryan asked Imlie to get down maybe because somewhere he understood that she had reached her breaking point and needed space to let the grief out and thus he gave her that privacy..And in the rain her tears washed away...Though Aryan drove away, he was around, he did not leave Imlie alone and he came back at his own will..
I.And after AryLie's rain scene it is clear Aryan does not want Imlie to be a bechari but he wants her to fight back..
Really enjoyed reading your post! Phrasing in bold truly resonated to me.
These notes reminded me of a few things I thought while watching the episode yday. When Imlie's tear fell onto Aryan's hand, his hand seemed to hover like a tight thread in tension, and then he clenched his fist. While he kept within his boundaries, I also felt he was trying to contain his own emotions. Aryan seemed like a very expressive and carefree person until his brother-in-law passed. As we equate him to being the facilitator of disjointed realities in Imlie's life, I find she is much the same for him. Due to Imlie, he oscillates between who he was and whom he became.
Regarding the mandir scene, I am glad Aparna said what she did because the last few episodes highlighted Imlie as fulfilling the wishes Narmada has for Aryan - I don't think it's necessary to drag the unspoken/unacknowledged obvious. Furthermore, the entry of Aryan & related elements has been molded with contradictory cliche, twists on classic plot tracks -- so it would be out of turn to drag Narmada's search for DIL #1
Now, for the rain scene -- you're description makes me remember Imlie's description of rain. For some it's calamity and for others harbinger of joy. Along with your interpretation, I would like to add maybe the rain is symbolic of the crossroads within Imlie's self. Not her personal life, her romantic life or her family life but herself. At this emotional and soul-searching crossroads of her life, will she step forward expect the worst or the best? Is she willing to let rebirth or ashes in her life. Fundamentally, can she make her own destiny?

2. I also love how tough love from Aryan to Imlie is so well balanced and so well put across. I can see the difference between tough love and tearing someone down emotionally. In yesterday's episode he finally offered her his hand because he saw what los self esteem she had. Today, he let a topic go because he new she was emotional. But when she neglected work... he drew a line. He then came back and actually gave her a much needed wake up call when she still refused to get his point through her head. Aryan and his tough love may not be what Imlie wants at this point but it is definitely what she needs.
First of all, the vid
I really can't get enough of that scene & despite how large and secure his hand is - it still feels as if Imlie is in control of the narrative. He is just a vessel to draw support from as she needs.
As for your second point, at bold - wow, didn't even acknowledge that. Definitely correct! He didn't nitpick at her because he understood that she was distracted BUT he's like those austere professors that know how tight to hold the rope. The observation that he makes it imperative to show Imlie a mirror as well as point out the fallacies leads me to feel that he's the only person who is addressing her issues while viewing her as an individual, as an adult. Whether it's Mithi, Satyakam, the T's, or loving Adi -- they've all tried to protect her or coddle her. Given her age, even that is fine; but it reminds me of when something happens to a child and parents or loved ones try to adhere a bandage. Sometimes, a conversation with that child's education and interests in mind is needed. Aryan is the only one to objectively discuss Imlie's issues, even if it's just the tip of the iceberg, without any personal stake

Bold 1: Can I ask what makes you think that? I'm just totally analyzing everything trying to figure it out 😂 Haven't watched today's yet - So I guess its something in today's ep?Originally posted by: itsRitzi
