My assumption

abhi is step son on manjari may be from harsh first marriage

and manjari son is neil but since he is not as smart as abhi uncle birla has not accepted him as his son

You have a point. Yes as a mother she is concerned but the point is she trying get him hitched with arohi the sister of whom abhi has a strong feeling for. Doesn't she understand marriage is not just between. 2 ppl but between families. Abhi will have to face askshu every other day and how can he control his emotions over her. She just prefers arohi as you said due to her profession she believes that 2 ppl with same profession shd get married otherwise the marriage will not be successful as hers is suffering because of this particular reason. The only thing I could make out is she doesn't have a strong connection with abhi like he has towards his mother. If he will agree for the sake of mother that marriage will go through a worse effect which manjari doesn't understand

areee HARSH hasn't even accepted MANJARI yet. He didn't even want to participate in the HAVAN. So SAVAGE he is my god.
