Is he playing an intellectually disabled character? Something about that expression looks that way.

It’s a remake of Forrest Gump. So yeah he’s a bit intellectually disabled

oh, how silly of me to think it could be anything other than a remake. 🤓 forrest gump is an interesting concept, i'm sure it'll do well ....he sure nailed the expression up there.

But he was anything but intellectually disabled. If anything he was intellectually super-abled, much much ahead and beyond the grasp of rest of his peers. That expression means, he was expressing his happiness(to be with his childhood sweetheart) - simple as that!

I haven't watched forrest gump, but i meant no offense. I think it was a well thought out expression in the movie poster ...... some might think that it's just a guy with a happy face on but it looked different than usual to me, struck me as child like so i made that guess.

None taken! :)
The thing is, these differently abled kids work so hard just to fit in where the other kids of their age spend their time achieving bigger and better things- why? because of the way society judges them at every single thing. We as the so called intellectually ‘abled’ people have to work harder than them to make them feel included, instead we intentionally or unintentionally make their lives harder. I know I didn’t word it effectively but I hope you understood the gist of what I was trying to convey. :)
@the poster: I didn’t like Aamir’s expression. At no point did Tom Hanks makes such an expression but let’s the audience decipher it for themselves whatever they wanted to about his abilities. It’s very disappointing that Aamir chose to go for the commonly used age old trope like as if he was trying to spell out the character for the audience. Imagine Forrest Gump was made years ago but this is coming in 2022.
