You are right most of the characters in this serial needs wardrobe change I think only Adi is well dressed.

I think Adi's mom will not be able to read the note (someone calls her, or the note gets misplaced by her helper). Then she will find it after the wedding is over...on the wedding night or something and will create a big drama..Adira will leave the house since everyone is against them (aai, baba, madhura) and that will give opportunity for future track...how they live together, build their home, reconcile differences with Adi's family, come back home, and consummate the wedding...

In Pre-cap she seems like she's reading the note.

So either Adi will refuse it saying that this must be Nikhil or she may just ignore it saying it's not believable.

And Madhura will only find this note after wedding or during shelving and re-shelving Meera's picture may just drop off which will only happen after wedding when Meera will start putting her stuff in wardrobe.

हो.पण तरीही..आपण अपेक्षा ठेवायला काय हरकत आहे?
