I read about today's episode and it seems Aryan knows all about Imlie and Aditya. I still think though that he is genuinely trying to help Imlie at the same time.

Whenever he gets her an a "childish" move he gives her a chance to start clean. His punishments are harsh. But it's like he is saying to her "I want you to prove me wrong". He wants Imlie out of the frame in which he has Aditya. He wants to know that she is different. I could be stretching and reading waaay too much into it, but there you go

I agree with you here...he punishes her for her kiddishness.

Today he gave her, her ID because he knew from the moment she entered the meeting room that it was her. He knows she's gonna be a good undercover journalist.
