Yeah ok. Bit stretching for me. I feel technology made being socially awkward more affordable. Earlier you had no other option but to have human interactions.

Failure in the sense Farmers profit margin dried up and Food becoming expensive for common people.

Good side of CF: Farmers get new technologies, direct access to market etc etc. the plus points which will look good on paper.

Bad side of CF: The real impact.. Corporates starts dictating. Farmers today have liberty to what they want to grow but CF will take that power from them.

For common Indian: Indian today is self sufficient I think 70% of food consumption is produce within India. However implications of CF is that it will lead to India importing food.

Why was CF is being introduced: India got loans in 1991 from WB IMF on a condition these farm laws will be introduced. Congress has been toying away from introducing them for years.. What Congress won't tell it was in their last manifesto in 2019 as well. BJP had to take a hard pill and is now suffering.

Thanks. That’s a good insight and makes sense.

Is there a way they could introduce partial laws which could be helpful in removing middle men?

Just to add on.. US is poster child for contract farming.. and this is what one study identified in US.

For all practical purposes, like contract farmers in other sectors of agriculture, farmers are slowly losing control over production practices, crop ownership, crop choice, and witnessing a gradual elimination of the traditional open-market. This study addresses policy recommendations regarding how farmers and the government can confront these issues.

"Grain contract farming in the United States: Two case studies" by Paul Richard Edleman (syr.edu)

I will be honest have not read about farm laws that were brought in by BJP in detail but prima facie CF is not good for farmers. But there are options available to safeguard farmers interest as well.

On removing middlemen.. I think one of the farm laws was catering to that. Digitizing markets for farmers but you know who it was hurting the most. Punjab Middlemen farmers hence all the protests majorly for them. Do you think small farmers were the one protesting. No. It was these middlemen so called farmers protesting. Inki kamayi khatre mei thi. Many farmers were happy with most part of these farm laws.

GoFundMe refused to allow Kyle Rittenhouse’s friends to raise money for his defense. Imagine that!

Anyone who expressed support for Rittenhouse on any SMS, like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter were suspended immediately..

People who still tried to contribute faced consequences, were doxxed and fired.

Who would've thought the 21st century would pave way to authoritarianism( or is it totalitarianism?) thanks to the SMNs

The cancel culture, the constant threat to freedom of expression, the threat of physical violence...

On a different note can he now sue the President who called him a 'White Supremacist' ?
