I know this is a terrible thing to say.. he was a very talented man but I rarely ever liked SP Balasubramanium’s voice :(

Fact. The nasal sounding singers of that time are unbearable. I did not like Suraiya, Noor Jehan, KL Saigal either.

I am glad I am not the only one who found Chitra's voice grating. I never liked any of her songs. I was glad when Tu Mile song was sung by Alka Yagnik in Criminal and entire song was not sung by Chitra.

I also dislike Anuradha Paudwal and think her voice is unbearable when she sings in high pitch.

Leke pehla pehla pyaar, one of my top favourites, is partly ruined thanks to her nasal screeching. Sometimes I FF the female portions. 😑

Even Kahin pe nigahein deserved another singer.
