Now please dont hit me with the next handy thing.

Sai is taller than the average FL. And Virat a bit shorter.

I was just watching a few youtube clips wherein Sai hugs Virat. His discomfiture is quite obvious. She is taller than him and has to bend down to put her head on his shoulder. The whole moment is pretty awkward.

I spoke to a few creative directors I know and they said that this is a common situation in the film (and serial) industry. If a hug needs to be shown, they place the ML on a stool or have a high healed footware for him. At times they also use a body double. Eeks (thats the unprofessional part of me speaking)

I dont know what they did with the Chhipkali scene in Mahabaleshwar.

Please share your thoughts. I am not tagging anyone as this is an open question.

Hug scene in Mahabaleshwar was good because duvet covered the gap between them

I feel both are kind of the same height.. Ayesha a tad bit shorter maybe .. But no much difference.. But she is definitely nit talker than him..

And yes there normal hugs are fine... The Mahabaleshwar wala was a normal hug.. I mean the shoulder to shoulder one .. But the latest one was awkward cuz it was a teddy hug where she had to put her head on his chest and that looks good only if there's a sufficient height difference existing 😊😁

I think camera angles was also bad ; sbs angles were better and there no distance was between them:some found it as rehearsal one but considering the height they are more or less same

Neil is 2 inches taller than her but usually the girl's head should be around the guy's chest for a good hug. That's why height difference is important. Here we have only 2 inches. I remember long time ago saying that height difference make the couple look beautiful. But many contradicted me saying that same height looks good. Now see how everyone is complaining about the awkward hug. 🤣 Same thing happened with Ashwini Ninad. 🤣

Yes I agree! Height difference is required for a good on screen presence.

Also note that we saw only a camera view of upper body. Had they shown the full height angle, even that awkwardness would be clear.

The duvet covered the discomfort for real.

Totally agree. Ayesha is just a few inches shorted than him and that makes the hug 😕. Then the actors have to cover it up with facial expressions which are even more comic. Neil Ayesha's eyelocks are anyday better.
