Ram Priya Drabble- A New Member

Priya was nervous. Never was she this nervous and trusted all her decisions to date, and she was sure of this one too. But Ram, who was constantly tapping his foot against the ground, made her nervous. Was this a wrong decision? Were they being hasty?

"What if we aren't the right people for him? " Ram asked after a few seconds, his voice cracking. Trust Ram to cry about something like this and then make everyone else emotional about it.

"Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor, " They looked up at one of the staff members of the Adoption center who had called out for them. They looked at the little bundle in her arms, his eyes staring at them.

They stood up from their chairs and rushed to the baby. Their apprehensions were suddenly forgotten, and now his brown eyes and whimpering were the sole focus of their attention.

Priya took him in her arms, and Ram burst out crying.

"Hi Leo," Priya said and patted his head. Ram took his little paw in his hand.

"I am your Dada, " he said, almost stuttering.

"And I am your Mama, " She said, her heart heavy with emotions. Ram looked at her, and she looked at him, her head slightly tilted to touch Leo's

It didn't seem like a wrong decision now, as they held their 3-week old puppy. The three were a family, and they were right for each other.

Kind of inspired by LizzieBennet's prompt and my desperation for Ram and Priya to have some sense of normalcy.

I got disillusioned with Ram and Priya, ever since the whole Shivina marriage episodes began and then the horrible Karwa Chauth drag fest. So thank you for this drabble, I think it just reignited my spark for Ram and Priya, because it's just so heart warming and endearing.

I wish this would actually happen..*sigh*

Takes me back to the time when we brought our own puppy home! 🥺

FYI, Leo was on our short list of names too (in fact it was my top fav) but we had to rule it out cos my neighbour’s son is called Leo! 😆

I have stopped with the show since Ram and Priya sangeet😅 the show is such a dragfest bur Ram and Nakul have a beautiful chemistry that is just getting wasted🥺 glad you liked it🥰
