TSBTSP - EPISODE DISCUSSION THREAD #1 - Page 80

Hav caught up with recent two episodes as I decided to give myself a break after the naani naatak from 10 nov episodes. I've seen you guys praise the episodes so decided to check it out myself.

Nov 11 pointers

-Putul & Anurag scene was cute though felt a bit randomly inserted for some reason in order to continue with the drama at the Durgo pujo. 🤔

-Chondona & Noina bickering over the 10 lakh transfer to her friend was crap but what's even crappier that pishima stood like a silent spectator.

-I really found the bit with Kajal donating 10 lakhs a bit unrealistic. I know the thought process is nice over helping a friend but I would've liked it if they mentioned that her friend would return the money back. It was unrealistically random scene for some reason. Upar se, Kajal's mahaanta does irritate me.

-Good to see Kajal berate the old hag. The old hag is such a filler character.

-Arjun inviting the mukherjees was so pakau with the cringe bharat milaap & whatnot. Execution was bland AF.

-Anurag drooling over Kajal is really cliched. He's not the Anurag, I know. Dude used to be straight, upfront, & blunt. I don't mind him being mellowed down but the whole drooling scene was irritating to scene. 🤢I liked the Anurag who's no-nonsense attitude & upfront when he was introduced. Even the last scene, with the peekaboo thing, dude could've just jolted earlier.

Nov 12 pointers

-The scene from yesterday ended on a good note where Anurag places a substitute saree for Kajal to don. But the makers don't need to elongate their scenes as it feels unrealistic at times.

-Good to see the nuances over their glances but the scene felt dragged for some reason. 😳Idk but I'm not much of a fan with the whole itv tactic of even the stringiest guy mellowing down upon seeing the FL. 🤢

-Good to see him blast on Priyanka but what about warning her to stay away from his choices and whatnot? The connectivity factor was mother was nice subtle choice on her face and glad to see him FINALLY have a monologue over his reaction around Kajal's presence.

-Priyanka doing the dhunuchi dance was more like comical filler, woman looked like a psychotic maniac. When they did the "dola re dola" movement, figured the song. 🤣🤣It was like priyanka wanted Kajal or Anurag looking like an idiot. 🤣🤣🤣Seriously, does she love Anurag or Kajal more?🤣

-i liked the sindoor falling moment. Anurag was giving the apt expressions over the tripping moment & glancing at her vs what a typical ITV ML would do with smiling along. But Kajal looked so freaked out or deadpan expressions. 🤔

-Last moment over Noina blowing the matter out of proportion killed Kajal for me no offense. Unless in the next episode, she blasts over Noina and takes a good damn stand for herself, then she's just akin to the beaten dead horse. No offense but more than Anurag, why can't Kajal take a god damn stand for herself?

I think the Putul-Anurag scene was just added to mark the comeback of Ishita, becoz body double was crap. And Anurag was looking for Kajol for a while before that.

Kajols Pishi being a silent spectator is something we should get used to by now. She is spineless as hell.

And me also getting fed up of Kajols Mahaanta

I am willing to give Anurag the benefit of the doubt for the time being. He has always been a guy straightforward, upfront and blunt. But now the dude experiences butterflies in his stomach 🤣🤣, something that has never happened before, so we'll let him be for the moment.

Exactly my reaction, becoz I did not like the bossy tone in which Priyanka spoke to Anurag as if she has all the right in the world to even question him. Anurag should tell her to start minding her own damn business; she is just a college friend, not his wife 😡

And yes it was good to see him FINALLY questioning his feelings about Kajol. I knew the dude was confused as hell 😆

Cannot help but to AGREE with Capitals at this point. Why should it always be Anurag taking a freaking stand for Kajol everywhere and anytime 😡

This thing is getting so damn irritating. Doesn't Kajol have a voice and opinion of her own to take a stand for herself when she knows she is not wrong ???

Or will she always remain a crybaby ???? Crap I just cannot stand this shit anymore. She keeps crying and crying all the time 😡😡

Uparse they are making the puja ka mahol so negative with the old hag, Kajol should've said something or done a polite chop just like when she did when the old hag was scolding and abusing Putul who was already injured. Lol, the food fell but the old hag had to create a commotion over it.

The dhunuchi dance was so comical with Priyanka dancing as a psychotic maniac just made me chuckle as to whether she's obsessed with Anurag or with Kajol. 🤪🤣🤣Such a dola re dola moment over there. 🤣🤣🤣

The next episode is just a deal breaker for me, might just say adios to the show with potential butchered to TRP vultures. That's it for me.

Anurag's character arc is also getting dismantled so can't continue with this nonsense unless they pull up their sleeves. Though he's much better than Kajol in terms of at least voicing up.

I mean, come on, her own sibling is berating her and she can't see beyond her love for her family that they are using her for their own profit or something? Onu's situation could've been handled correctly if they showed some sort of fee waiver or something over Kajal paying for the money in installments/being the Mukherji dept. of finance. Is Onu that dumb enough to not fill out a fee waiver form or something? Chondona bhi din dahare aise paise mangri ti as if she also contributed to the profit of her business.

This is the only reason why I have tht little patience left to see if Kajol will indeed step up and take a stand finally once she has Anurag in her life.

I have already been banging my head against the wall but perverse hope and having three of my favourite actors (Harshad Arora, Ishita Dutta and Vijay Tilani) in the show has kept me coming back. Even if start a watching a show for a certain set of actors I want the story to make sense. I had high hopes as the earlier projects of these actors have been really good and this includes even the ones that did not do so well. Two new people I discovered in this show whose acting chops I really appreciate are Karan Suchak and Patrali Chattopadhyay. But the character arcs of Harshad and Ishita have really disappointed me, the creatives and writers are butchering both their roles by weak and pathetic writing. When they both have great range as actors. Let's see how the TRP game is going to set up next week.

Anyway have you guys noticed that the upcoming twist in the interviews other promotional clips show Ishita fainting and Anurag catching her and carrying her like in the promos of the wedding week. Was it because Ishita fell sick that they had to delay it and this was a long filler?

Also the show has been unlucky in the sense that earlier they had Mishkat Verma as the main male lead and he dropped out due to creative differences and they had to further delay the entry of the hero till they found Karan Suchak to play Dr. Basu and then Ishita fell sick when finally we were getting to the real story. And added to that the choppy writing, addition of too many useless characters and being in one of the most competitive slots has not helped. They are at an all time low as far as TRPs go.

I hope this upcoming week sees a recovery because Colors doesn't give a damn about this show as they had preferred airing maha episodes of other shows rather than air TSBTSP. Also Colors is now focusing more on the evening slot (as per their recent announcement of having those shows air on Sundays as well) as there it can still give competition to Star Plus shows. Plus they are also focusing a lot on the upcoming Vivian Dsena show Sirf Tum.

And I would hv liked it more if Bishu would have told Kajol tht she needs to speak up against her mother and bully sister when they are wrong, instead of telling her tht. Besides its Bishu only who put so much pressure on Kajols shoulder to take care of this toxic Mukherjee family plus take care of the many loans he made 😡😡

And its happening just as the voiceover mentioned back then: kya apno se dhoka khake, koie parayaa banega Kajol ka sahaara ?

This scenario is playing out now. Her own family has turned against her, thanks to one lie. So now I guess Anurag will become indeed her sahara.

I think the real story was delayed by many unfortunate factors as male lead quitting before the show began, finding the new suitable hero, than Ishita suffering from Dengue first and now again she was unwell.....so infact they had to opt for lots of fillers.

Lets hope they get to the real story now, becoz the TRPs need to go up, otherwise matters can take a turn for the worse.

There is too much competition and tough competition. And I have noticed Channels focus is now indeed on Sirf Tum.

By the way in my opinion, Karan is better suitable with Ishita then Mishkat....no offense to Mishkats fans. And Karan does a more than decent job as Anurag.... he really surprised me as this is his first show I am watching

The way the plot and spoilers are going- I think there is a strong chance (and I really hope this happens) that Kajol will be thrown out of the house. And the whole Anurag being the sahara- I would love it if he helped her out in terms of finding a place to stay, Kajol living and working alone etc rather than shaadi but then again, there’s also the whole Anurag confession track coming up

I certainly want Kajol out of the vicinity of the Mukherjee Chatterjee nexus for a good amount of time.
Also like others have said I’m super tired of Kajol’s character getting butchered and I’m pleasantly surprised by Karan Suchak and Patrali Chattopadhyay both. That said I started out with this show due to Harshad Arora and because for some reason I’m still rooting to watch Kajol gain full independence as a person. So yeah I really hope the TRPs pick up and they stop with this snail’s pace of things. The only track that wasn’t at a snail’s pace was Anurag falling in love, which was another thing I didn’t expect because I thought that would happen much later but okay
