She blamed Barun and had IPKKND shut down, she packed Surbhi of sets and shut Ishqbaaz down... She's great with the tashan part, but when the softer love enters, she's shite at it. Point.

I know people blamed Gul for IPPKND shutting down but in reading everything and watching interviews including Barun’s, I understood that he was fed up with the tracks after Arnav Khushi marriage. He was even saying that ITV should promote limited episode shows where the show sticks to story and doesn’t try to drag it. For him Arnav’s and Khushi’s story concluded with their marriage and rest was all just dragging along. Even Sanaya said during an interview that she was mad at him for quitting because she was ready for whatever X number of episodes.

He was tired also of the long shooting schedules for ITV . He said his health also suffered- and he really wanted the limited and fixed shooting schedules of movies- I honestly don’t blame him. You can see in The episodes post AK marriage that they were really not good. The writers had run out of ideas.

For Ishqbaaz- I would say Gul is to blame for bad decision making- I believe she has a lot of stake in choosing stories and she really messed up, including breaking the Leenesh- Nehalaksmi pair ( Rudea- Soumya) I loved their track it was really a novel one and as far as I could see it was going well and then because they didn’t see TRP increase I think they started doing crazy stuff- creating the trio of crazy evil sisters and the wacko Bua🙄

So yeah as person making ultimate decisions and head of production house - Gul is to blame in some situations but everything is not I n her control. I would honestly just blame the TRP focused ITV business plan/ money generation machine more than anything else.

It was a limited episode web series- Surbhi Jyothi and Barun. I never watched it though I heard good stuff because honestly I could not watch Barun with any other actress other than Sanaya for a while. May be I will go and watch it now😂
