The problem is that Virat always thinks that he isn’t doing anything wrong. If he thinks he is not cheating Sai, if he is acting as per his conscience, it is fine. It actually is but not in his position and especially not when he and Pakhi shares this kind of a past and present and not when Sai was disturbed by him holding Pakhi’s hands.

I can never forget how he acted clueless when Pakhi left the hospital in anger when he got shot. He kept acting clueless everytime she used to cry or shout at him. This is just yet another time where he is acting so casual greeting Sai when he is holding Pakhi in his hands. I would have supported him saying he is just helping a person and also that he has feelings only for Sai, if he wasn’t a hypocrite. He has double standards. Even before he realised his feelings for Sai, even before Sairat were even this close, even when he used to talk to Pakhi, clarify about his relationship with Sai to Pakhi, he got mad with Sai when she pretended to flirt with Amay.

He couldn’t tolerate Ajinkya in his room, couldn’t tolerate Sai dancing during Aniket track, but is thinking that there is nothing big in him carrying Pakhi like this. He will casually greet her rather than worrying how Sai will react or how to explain to Sai.

From my understanding, the way the character is and always will be is that he will do what he thinks is right. Will help one in need out of duty, will be a true friend but won’t think about how all this will affect his own wife or relationship. His duty shouldn’t be just for others, he has some duty towards his wife too and I am not sure how much he will be fulfilling it going this way. Also, he can do anything that he thinks is right but can never tolerate if Sai does the same. I really want to see a track where Sai being a doctor keeps her duty above everything else and also acts compassionate/kind/empathetic towards another guy. Virat Chavan has to get a taste of his own medicine, if not he will never realise what Sai or any other person in Sai’s position would have gone through or is going through. He can seem like a nice guy but only if he doesn’t have double standards.

Cvs are too biased to bring a parallel love interest for Sai cus it can end up having good amount of fanbase & they might take away the spotlight fron ML which they won't do at any cost. Cus ML's character is like that viewers don't give a damn about him if not for Sai whereas ppl will wholeheartedly accept if Sai falls for another guy or has good scenes! ML is beyond repair.
